This has to be one of the best Bed & Breakfasts in Ireland. Beautifully appointed, attention to the smallest detail. Breakfast is scrumptious, scenery typically Irish, lovely view of the Ox Mountains. Patricia is a gracious host who welcomes her guests as old friends. Highly recommended.

My husband and I have been to Ireland several times and have stayed in dozens of B&Bs and Coill Dara House is absolutely one of the very best places we've ever stayed. We were here for just one night recently, the perfect spot on the map for breaking up our drive from Moville to Kilkee. Not only is this B&B... More

Spent three weeks touring Ireland and staying at B&B's or boutique hotels throughout. This was one of our favourites. Beautiful property/accommodations, great hosts and terrific breakfast. For a change, try the pancakes/crepes - fabulous.

We travelled through Ireland for 10 days in late October, staying primarily in B&B s. The whole experience at Coill Dara was more like being treated as house guests rather than hotel guests. The house and grounds are beautiful and modern. The breakfast was beyond excellent. The hospitality of our hosts Patricia and Roger was something I will always remember.... More

We just returned home from a week in the west of Ireland for my cousin's wedding and we spent our first two nights at Coill Dara House. OMG. I hadn't even checked it out on Trip Advisor, as I was just going with the flow. We were all BLOWN AWAY for so many reasons. For one, the home is just... More

The bottom line: This is a top-notch, 5-star place, and we fully recommend it. At the end of September, we drove up from Galway on our way north to Sligo and County Donegal, and we felt fortunate to stay @ Coill Dara House. This B & B sits in a quiet, beautiful spot on a hill, just a 10-minute walk... More

Day one we drove up to Tubbercurry, County Sligo from Shannon to sight see and climb Knock Knearea, visit Yeats Grave at Drumcliffe, and explore shops/pub dinner in Sligo Town. Donegal cliffs was day 2. We were shocked by the beauty of this B&B. We have stayed at B&Bs before---this is not your standard place, this is a 5 STAR... More

As others have stated, Coill Dara and its host, Patricia, set the standard of excellence for us over a long vacation in Ireland and Scotland. The house and property, the room accommodations, the food, the attentiveness of staff and the wonderful owners were exceptional. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone. Just don't expect to find many like this... More

This was our first B&B while touring Ireland and Patricia set the bar. We did not stay at another B&B during the next 9 days that came close to this property. The grounds are calming and peaceful......we met Patricia's husband late in the day when he returned from work it and was time to feed the sheep..........such a beautiful place... More

I have stayed in many B&B's but this ranks amongst the best. 3 wet cyclists were greeted with tea and cake. The rooms are palatial, breakfast sumptuous, and hosts perfect. They even rang us the following day to say we had left a bag containing money, cards etc, but as we were then over 20 miles away arranged to drive... More
