Stayed here for one night in June'14. Room was small with 2 comfy single beds. very limited room to place our luggages. Hotel location is within walking distance to local restaurants, city, and tourist area. Breakfast was great. Hotel Staffs was helpful to give information about surrounding area.

We stayed at the Frate Sole for 1 night as part of Trafalgar's Splendors of Italy tour in May 2014. The hotel lobby and restaurant were modern and fresh, and the food in the restaurant was delicious. Our main problem was our room. We had 3 sharing a room, and we were used to cramped spaces on this tour. This... More

Frate Sole Hotel is located in Santa Maria degli Angeli and Assisi near the Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi. This is a 5 star service hotel. The people here are friendly and always very helpful. I highly recommend this hotel for those traveling to Assisi. You can take a train ride from Rome and a taxi or bus to... More

We stayed here two nights and were lucky to have a room in the new section of the hotel. The decor is fresh and light making for a very comfortable and peaceful stay. The room had everything we needed. The staff was friendly. The location is handy to Santa Maria degli Angeli church. There is a bus stop close by... More

This hotel is located near Assisi, Italy and is convenient to Assisi and some other attractions. The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful and the food is good. However, the rooms are VERY small (almost tripped over the bed when entering the room). There is barely enough room for 2 people to move around. The bathroom is... More

We stayed one night at Frate Sole as part of the Trafalgar Splendours of Italy Tour. Rooms are small but comfortable. The hotel is within walking distance to Santa Maria di Los Angeles Church. There are several restuarants, cocktails bars and a laundromat within walking distance of Frate Sole.

We stayed one night here and found it was a nice hotel although I would agree with others on here that the rooms are just slightly small. That said everything else is excellent, the rooms were clean and fresh and the service was great. We had our dinner, breakfast and lunch here and the food was excellent and again the... More

We spent one night here while visiting Assisi in April 2012. The hotel is in the lower part of assisi - quite some distance from the historic part of the town. That said the lower part of the town is a pleasant enough place with an loveley large church and cheaper pizzareas and trattorias than the upper historic part of... More
