We recently stayed at the "cottages" for 5 nights. Upon arrival we saw the dirty pool and were told it was because of the thunderstorm, the next day nothing was done to clean it. We complained and the next day it still was green and dirty. My husband gave some advice and it appeared they did not fully understand what... More

We stayed for two nights, in the main building, not in one of the cottages. Very roomy building with many areas to relax in. The room was amazing. Large whirlpool tub, twin sinks, 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed, one with three single beds. Spotless! Every one who contributed to our stay did so with great interest. As much... More

We had booked a cottage for 2 nights but upon arrival it's discovered that the owner MrJean Richard Severine had put us down for a room with three beds and all the 5 cottages had been taken up. Mr Severine admitted it's totally his mistake and apologised profusely and told us there's a cottage available the next night if we'd... More

Spent 3 nights at Les Pierres d'Aurele while travelling through France and really enjoyed our stay. The family were very welcoming and friendly. We stayed in one of the new 'cottages' overlooking the vineyard. It was very well equipped and comfortable and the view over the vineyard was fantastic. We also enjoyed a tour of the winery and free wine... More

The rooms are big and overlooking a beautiful countryside. The owner and host friendly and attentive. The price is cheap and includes all of: breakfast, tour of the winery and wine tasting. Everything was relaxing and enjoyable.

Very warm welcome ,lovely big and air conditioned rooms, beautiful surrounds. Good breakfast. Only 6 km from chateau Chenonceaux and the little village. Try their excellent wine sitting out beside the pool. Will return.

Booking confirmed by hotel but 5 days later Emailed "no room available". No apology or regret offered by hotel. Promised to call after checking further. No call received. Similarly booking agent -bookings.com- promised call back but none materialised.

Dear Sir, I'm sorry for this trouble and I really understand your sadness. But the facts you report are not perfectly right, maybe because we misunderstand (because of my poor english). The facts are : we received a new booking (from venere.com not booking.com) and, after checking our bookings, we saw we had an overbooking. So we first tried to... More

This hotel is out in the countryside and difficult to find. Get directions in advance. Our GPS couldn't locate the address. The rooms were large and the beds were comfortable. The older gentleman was a very friendly and helpful host. He even did an impromptu wine tasting for us. We stayed two nights and found the hotel very relaxing. The... More

This winery B&B was recommended by several friends who had stayed here. The owner and his family were extremely friendly and devoted to our comfort. The location was excellent as most of the castles to be visited are within an hour's drive. Recommend a GPS as it is somewhat off the main road which also made it very quiet and... More

We stayed for four nights at this B&B. We absolutely loved it and would sincerely recommend it. The room was very clean and spacious, breakfast was great (especially for French standards) with different jams, cheeses and grape juices (white & red) they produce themselves, and their hospitality was exemplary. We have never been welcomed more kindly. We also loved the... More
