Brian and Diana are fabulous hosts! The log lodge and views are breathtaking; the wines magnificent; and Diana's breakfasts are delicious. Enjoy the peace, serenity, and great company. Fitzpatrick's is a step above the snobbery of the Napa Valley. Warm, welcoming, knowledgable wine makers and hosts. Our trips to Napa will now be replaced with Fair Play and Fitzpatrick's. You... We are a group of 5 couples who have been going to Fitzpatricks for about three years, and we go there this coming weekend again ... it always feels like going home. It's unpretenscious, yes a little dated in the bathroom department, but authentic. Brian and Diane are wonderful people and so dedicated to their organic wine production and good... More

I planned a trip as a surprise get-a-way for my wife. I chose Fitzpatrick's based on location and the fact that we had never spent any significant time in Fair Play. From the moment we walked in the front door we were greeted by Diana Fitzpatrick like we were long awaited family. Our room was clean and everything we expected.... More

What a beautiful place--great views, awesome food and delicious wines....oh, and the Fitzpatricks are super gracious hosts! Must do--Friday NIght Pizza on the deck with live music--the original Fairplay Friday Night Pizza spot!

I was planning something special for my husband’s birthday this year. Our main trip was driving up to the Oregon coast, but I decided we needed to make a stopover at our halfway point, which was the Sacramento, California area. I searched online and found the Only Winery and B&B on our route: the Fitzpatrick Winery and Lodge. Upon driving... More

My wife and I had a wonderful time at Fitzpatrick Winery and Lodge. The whole weekend was terrific and here are a few reasons why: 1) We had a huge, comfortable room with an amazing view of the vineyards and mountains. 2) The owners, Diana and Brian, have a spirit of hospitality second to none. 3) Breakfasts were delicious 4)... This was our second trip here - the last being maybe ten years ago or so. We stayed in the Winemaker Suite, which had a large shower, separate soaking tub, king size bed and a window seat. Since it was unusually hot, we were sure glad to have the A/C. The room was spacious and immaculately clean. We stayed three... More

We stayed overnight at this great winery and B & B but wished we could have stayed longer. It is a rustic log type home with just a few rooms but feels very much like staying in someones own home. Rooms had window seats and private view decks to enjoy the surrounding vineyard. Brain and Diana are great hosts who... More

We often travel to Amador County and El Dorado county wineries (remember Napa in the old days?) but usually make it a day trip. Last weekend, we decided to make a weekend of our trip to Fair Play and booked the Irish Room at Fitzpatrick. As a guest of the lodge, we were allowed to picnic on their deck with... More

We spent two nights at the Fitzpatrick Winery and Lodge and enjoyed absolutely every moment. The views from anywhere on the property are spectacular. Brian and Diana have both really put their heart and soul into this place and are wonderful hosts. Book the Winemaker's Suite, if possible--you won't be disappointed!
