Cozy and warm. wonderful place and wonderful people. Good price for a room with a view for the river (55€). The best option in Roche Gageac. Charlotte is such a nice person, made us feel at home. Strongly recommended.

We, being 6 adults 2 children and a toddler ate here this evening. I wanted to comment on this restaurant because quite frankly we have eaten at some pretty disappointing French restaurants! However at this one we found the service was very good and they did cater for the younger members of our party. Good food (especially the desserts)! Quite... More

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights in September and had a great time. We were in one of the cheaper rooms on the top floor, so we had a river view but the window was small and in the corner of the room. Although that was a blessing as it was hot and sunny and it meant... More

Charming hotel along the banks of the Dordogne River in "Le Roque". It was clearly the start of the off season as the streets were quiet after sundown, leaving just a few dinner options each night. We ate at the hotel one night and had a great meal, but we felt that the experience was totally lacking in ambiance. They... More

This is a fantastic hotel. The service was very very good with lovely rooms – both for sleeping and lounging. The restaurant was incredible. Quality of food, presentation and service were all exceptional. Could go on and on, but why bother, just go and enjoy yourself.

Let's start with the positive, the dinner was great although the foie gras starter was not as described and certainly not worth the supplement. I can't say it was the meal but I certainly had an upset tum afterwards. The hotel is our main grouse, it is just not up to spec. The air con in our first room stopped... More

This hotel has everything. The location is excellent, the restaurant is deservedly considered the best in the Dordogne with outstanding food, and all the staff (particularly Charlotte) are so friendly and welcoming. There is nothing to improve this place as it has it all. If you get the opportunity the suite is well worth staying in with ample space and... More

My wife found this lovely hotel via internet reviews by other TA users and we chose it as our base for 6 nights in the Dordogne. It has the immediate advantage of being located in the beautiful village of La Roque Gageac, right on the bank of the river and therefore has the most marvellous backdrop and outlook. On arrival... Views over the Dordogne river from the rooms and the vine covered restaurant are wonderful. The staff are very welcoming and speak excellent English. Evening meal was sophisticated and delicious. Only stayed a couple of nights but would love to have stayed longer.

For one night, we stayed in this hotel and also enjoyed the restaurant. The hotel room was ok, the bathroom was clean but its equipment has started aging. The breakfast was the typical French style (more focus on sweet than on the meat) and good (we know what to expect). The view from the hotel to the Dordogne river is... More
