I spent three days at Casa Favonio and I was a bit concerned having read all the reviews (including the very negative ones) before going. The place is pretty remote and there are no signs to help finding it. If you intend to bike around the island, this is not a place to stay. I think having a car is... More

It has been such a great break for both of us. The view was stunning and we will advise anyone to take the superior room number 5. We ordered our champagne served with local strawberries. The "chic" touch even without going out, we have had a candle light appetizer followed by the best sunset you can imagine!! I thank the... More

Totally relaxing atmosphere for this Boutique Hotel...view to die for (deluxe room N 4) friendly and professional staff nothing was too small or too big for them to take care of. We will definitely return there for a romantic week-end and try this time the day with Clemente the most famous fisherman on the island. Special recommendation : The "sgroppino"... More

The owner of casa Favonio, Sonia, who was remarkebly absent during our stay, seems to have taste for nice things and flair to recruit dedicated, hard working though unskilled and most probably inexpensive staff. To run any business requires spending some money and it is obviously something that the owners have difficulty understanding, particularly in view of the rates that... More

At first sight not the best location for young children, but in less than 24 hours we felt like at home, thanks to the heartful welcome of the owners and director. Very nice rooms, tasteful trendy decoration, wonderful view. A bit far from the village, but perfect location for whom looks to quiet down, retire and enjoy nature and farniente.... More

they tried very hard and I have to say that the director was very kind and helpful how ever for the price that we paid was accepting much more. The place is a bit out of the way for no reason meaning that there is notting but to sleep there. The room was OK there were burned out light bulbs... More

My girlfriend and I had decided to go to Favignana for a long weekend, no pressure, but, first time away together, set dates and I hadn't got my act together, and the clock was ticking and I'm very particular about where I stay, I also predominately stay in boutique hotels. Upon finally getting down to finding somewhere I quickly realised... More

First, to get there is an adventure. No signs anywhere as if god in person should guide you then, once you finally enter the gate, the whole atmosphere is of an unkept property. No signs for parking, no sign for anything. You climb the poorly lit stairs that have not been cleaned in a while onto a terrace with no... More

Following our stay in the sister property Casal ,mare this was awful. public areas were good but the bedroom number 3 was horrendous. bed was like a mortuary slab ,hand held shower bed linen so poor.Michaele the chef and Stephania the receptionist were superb but the property needed some big improvement. Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Casa Favonio, is located in front of the lighthouse of Punta sottile, Marettimo island and is hidden in a glorious 7 hectares property planted with old olive trees and palmas. Close enough to town to pop in for a meal; far enough away that you get a real feel of seclusion. Design-wise it's a blend of natural shades of stone and sand offset by lashings of cool white - discreet but chic. Explore beaches, grottos and volcanic caves; zip around the islands in our speedboat; sit under shady palms and pines to read. this is somewhere you'll escape the outside world. ... more   less
