Had a wonderful one night stay on the way North from the South Coast. The hotel is 3 minutes drive from the A1 and allows dogs in 3 of the bedrooms and in the bar. We were able to have dinner and breakfast in the bar with the dog and still enjoyed the atmosphere of this delightful place which had... More

For us it's a 40 mile trip for an evening out and it's worth it with a guarantee of a beautiful room for the night after the meal. The Olive branch and Beech House pay close attention to detail that makes the difference between somewhere to eat and stay and a pleasurable experience. We come here regularly and are never... More

Our 25th wedding anniversary was spent roaming Rutland & culminated in dinner at the Olive Branch & an overnight in its sister hotel just across the way. Our room was large, tastefully decorated & had coffee, fresh biscuits & bottled water. It was immaculately clean & smelt pleasant. The bathroom had shutters & was again finished in classical white. Breakfast... More

These are the rooms to the Olive Branch pub/restaurant. They are small but very comfortable. The great breakfast is served in the pub which is about 20 yards accross the road. We had a Dinner/BB deal, which can be booked online, but ate a la carte - the fixed price menu is deducted from the bill so you dont lose... More

Comfortable stay and coupled with the food in the olive branch you're sure to have a memorable break. Just beware the walls are very thin so you will be treated to the chorus of bedroom activities from each room in turn! Cute.

Finally managed to stay at Beech House after seeing it when visiting Clipsham a couple of years ago. I was not disappointed. We stayed in 'Biscuit' which was very cosy and had excellent facilities. Ate lunch and our evening meal in the Olive Branch; both delicious meals. At breakfast we had a creamy smoothie followed by scrambled egg and smoked... More

Beech House was a lovely place to stop on our way north from London. Extremely comfortable and stylish rooms, warm welcome and delicious breakfast. We really enjoyed our all too brief visit and will definitely keep in mind for future trips!

We only stayed at the Beech House for one night, breaking a journey home from the North back to the South Coast. The place had been recommended to us by a friend who runs a “gastro pub with rooms” in Sussex, so we were confident we would not be disappointed and we certainly weren’t. Clipsham is a lovely little village... More

As someone else has already said - what an amazing find. Our room (Chocolate Suite) was a great size for our family of 3 with 2 bedrooms and a lounge area. The bed in the 2nd bedroom was shortish so our very tall son had to curl up for the night. Our bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was... More
