We stayed here for one night on a Saturday night using a wowcher deal. I upgraded when booking, £20 extra for a room with balcony & view of the water- definitely worth it! We were very impressed with the hotel. It has great facilities- pool & gym etc, tennis courts, golf, restaurants and obviously access to Rutland water. Our room... More

I love Barnsdale Hall and the children do too. It's got a bit of everything. Amazing views over the lake, welcoming staff, good food, nice gardens, children friendly (play area, splash times in the pool etc) and there is lot's to do if you go out and find it. I would recommend attending the meeting they hold on a Monday... More

We stayed at this hotel for my mothers 60th Birthday and sadly did not feel it lived up to the prices in any way. The hotel itself is in a beautiful setting and the staff are very polite and keen to help. However £110 for a room which is extremely tiny, very outdated and looks out directly onto a brick... More

I booked an overnight stay for myself, best friend, mum & sister. It was through wowcher at £100 which I thought was great value, this included access to 'spa' facilities and buffet breakfast in the morning. The hotel itself and it's grounds/gardens are beautiful with stunning views. Amy on reception greeted us with a smile and was very helpful but... More

I booked this hotel for a spa day and afternoon tea as a Christmas present for my sister, looking forward to the views of the lake and we were told we could arrive at any time. Luckily we arrived at 10. 30 am as on arrival we were told the spa would be closed from 1pm to 2pm for cleaning.... More

Stayed 1 night (Sat) on a Wowcher deal. Having paid to upgrade we were allocated Room 509 (in the Oakham Hotel annexe next to the main building) which has beautiful views across Rutland Water. The room was huge and so was the bathroom so, all in all, we were glad we upgraded. Always plenty of hot water for a long... More

On a recommendation we recently visited Barnsdale Hall for the carvery Sunday Lunch. We were not disappointed!! Firstly we were greeted By Daniel the suave restaurant manager for whom nothing was too much trouble. Daniel asked if we would like to have an aperitif in the bar or be shown straight to our table. Having opted to have a pre-luncheon... More

I shall disclaim from the outset that we book spontaneously with at 'wowcher' deal. If you do this: upgrade. Foot the £20.00 and you will not be disappointed. We stayed in a newly refurbished annex to the main hall with views from the small balcony over the Rutland waters. There are footpaths to walk and when you're tired of that... More
