Hard to believe now but this hotel is fantastic. Located on the Crocodile river and seems to be located right in Kruger itself. The big 5 can be seen if lucky on the drive to the hotel. Staff very friendly and food excellent.Great value at present with Strong euro. A great taste of Africa indeed.

We spent two nights at Mjejane River Lodge and thoroughly enjoyed it. The setting on the Crocodile River is absolutely stunning and just watching the wildlife on the river is a joy to behold. The staff were very friendly and generally the food was very good. The rooms were clean and quite spacious. We will definitely return .

Thirteen of us stayed at Mjejane for 3 nights on an Overseas Adventure Travel tour of Southern Africa in late May and loved it. I returned to Kruger in June on a Grand Circle Tour and stayed at a hotel on the west side of the Park, 30 minutes away from the gate, and there was no comparison to this... More

Hi this was our first time in Kruger and we opted to stay at mjejane river lodge for 3 nights. The check in was really smooth and Simon showed us our lodge, we had an interconnecting room. The rooms are really nice and comfortable and the bathrooms had a victorian look to it. We did 5 safaris with our ranger... More

Mjejane review At the outset I should say that Mjejane's location forgives a lot of sins. It is surrounded by Kruger National Park with its abundant game, making it an ideal vacation spot for wildlife lovers. Despite its many flaws, and as the property is further developed, Mjejane might be a reasonable choice. The night we arrived it was dark... More

I recently stayed at this Lodge with a friend on a Saga holiday. We had an amazing week going out on Game Drives every day, our Ranger/Guide was William who is very knowledgeable - especially about the birds - he also has a wicked sense of humour!! The rooms are chalet type, all facing Crocodile River with views across to... More

This was my second stay at the resort. First of all, all amenities are superb. You will not and cannot find better. The rooms and lodges are modern yet rustic, incorporating the life and vigor of the African bush. The people and staff are amazing and so well informed. We were treated like royalty. I love the fact that Africa... More

We stayed here for a week in October on a Saga holiday. We had lodge 8 which was the furthest but had brilliant views over the river. We saw 4 of the big 5 at our lodge including a lioness coming to the water's edge to drink. There is always some animal life moving around on the far bank.We had... More

Recently stayed at Mjejane as part of an organised holiday. This lodge proved to be a good choice, even better than stated in the literature. The setting is absolutely fantastic! Right on the side of the aptly named Crocodile river, as many crocs were seen. Hippos, elephants, water bucks, kudo and buffalo were all daily visitors. The staff were all very... More

Fortunately the reps, staff and game warden/drivers were good and the setting was lovely at Mjejane River Lodge. There were no big cats in the reserve, the food was poor and the game-drive vehicles were poorly maintained. We had five punctures within the week of which four were in the Kruger trip. The prop-shaft was at its end and we... More
