We booked a few days away and stayed at Mjejane while visiting the Kruger Park. This must be the most relaxing environment on the edge of the Crocodile River. You get the chance to see three of the big five, amongst many others, come down to the water edge in the late afternoon. We stayed in a self catering unit... More

We had a two night stay a Mjejane River Lodge and the experience was overall fantastic. Views from the pool is breathtaking and sitting there under a tree while looking out for animals in between game drives is the most relaxing experience. Some of the staff that work there are just too fabulous not to mention, Willem - the hardest... More

We have stayed in the lodge before, and whilst the welcome was very good, we found the staff generally lacking in training. Our room, #8 was in a nice position, with lovely view of the river, needs a bit of uplifting, and unfortunately had no hot water! We ordered a bottle of champagne at sunset and it took 45 minutes... Stayed here for 2 nights for what was my wife’s first experience of an African safari. Couldn’t have asked for a better start. Location wise, the lodge is about an hour and a half to 2 hours from Nelspruit. It’s accessible via a private entrance and has it’s own bridge into the main Kruger park. The road within the reserve... More

We stayed over at the lodges in November 2014. Tired and run down, scarcely looking forward to our stay, we arrived to find the best accommodation and facilities in a very long time. The game drivers went out of their way to find as many species as possible. it was an absolute delight. The only word of caution I have,... More

A low water bridge connects Mjejane Game reserve with the Kruger road network. The bridge is used in advertisements to promote Mjejane Game Reserve, but there are significant fees involved in using this bridge. If you plan to visit the Kruger National Park from the Mjejane River Lodge, you should be aware of the additional bridge fees. It's recommended that... More

We own timeshare at the Mjejane Bush Camp and always make use of the lodge when we are there - sometimes for sundowners, sometimes for a dinner in the restaurant and always try to make it to one of the boma dinners which are special. This time I found that there seems to be a problem - difficult to get... More

The place is pretty, It did have ac., bush buck, hooded guinea fowl, monkeys, and warthogs on the property. There were big animals down on the river. Managment left a lot to be desired, We were allowed 1 liter of water for 2 people each day and at that we had to hunt some one down to get it each... More

This small lodge was our first stop on our OAT trip and what a way to start! The lodge sits right on the river where we could watch the elephants, hippo, croc, impala, and warthogs while sipping wine by the pool. Our room was large with a great bathroom and air-conditioning. The food was fresh and well prepared. Our welcoming... More

We visited Mjejane River lodge in May 2014. We were a group of 15 of us and had a lot of fun. The people were very helpful and took care of our request for vegetarian meals. The outdoor dinner was fabulous and made our stay even better. We couldn't spot the big 5 but we did spot a few elephants,... More
