This is the place your parents took you on vacation and they sat around the pool and talked to all the other adults about stuff. It's The Twilight Zone. Very old fashioned. Designed in the front for crashing for the night and in the back for staying a month and cooking in the kitchenette or grilling by the pool. Great... More

Just stayed 8 nights. We had a room facing the courtyard in the newer part. It was clean, well equipped with a little kitchenette. The staff, and especially Juan, were very accommodating. We were within walking distance, in some cases just steps, of many good restaurants. The beach is about a block away, and it is a very nice, quiet... More

Stayed there for 10 days. Chose it because of location which is very good. The rooms however are not all of the same quality, some are of dire need of updating. We had a room in which we could not plug the toaster and coffee maker at the same time (power went). I also needs a bottle of bleach to... More

Great location, great staff. Beautiful pool and reasonably priced. very close to the beach and restaurants. I will be staying there again! A little old but clean. The pool and seating area were great. Juan was very friendly. There was a microwave, and fridge in the room.

We stayed three weeks and had one of the older rooms. It was basic and everything worked but was old. Does need to be remodeled but I don't go to be in the room. Now on the other hand my sister and her husband stayed in the first room as you enter the hotel and by the end of her... More

If you are seeking contemplative space, tranquil translated from English to Spanish means, " tranquilo, quieto, pacífico, or simply the Hotel Palmeras. The owners and staff have created a space that facilitates thoughtfulness, consideration, and quiet conversation. Wrought iron gates lead you to a lush landscaped courtyard, with comfortable seating around the pool. There is a shared grill in this... More

We rented one of the rooms facing the front entrance, that is in the old section of the hotel. The room was as pictured, with a comfortable king size bed, a kitchenette, TV. The Internet worked very well, the pool area was nice, and the front desk personnel very helpful. BUT...the bathroom was terrible and so small. It had bad... More

Whether I am travelling alone or with a friend, the Hotel Palmeras is always my first and only choice. From the moment I check-in, Juan and his staff make sure that my stay is relaxing and safe. The luscious garden and sparkling pool create a tantalizing ambiance that embraces me as soon as I arrive. Close to everything--the beach, restaurants,... More
