We stayed at the Panzio across the street, and ate at Tokaj restaurant three times. Each time, the food was great. Very generous servings. The server was very friendly and helpful, recommending which food to order. We ate outside on the terrace, with a nice view of the river.

I stayed there 4 days. Hotel is clean, rooms are o.k. - but in rather old-fashioned style.Fine view over Main street /Rakoci utca/ and wine-covered mountain. Parking available, no problem. Restaurant is nicely decorated with fantastic hunting trophies from Owners hunting in Africa. Food good, wine decent - mostly white /it is local specialty /. Staff speaks rather german, english... WE spent five days in Tokaj at a Panzio across the road from the Tokaj Hotel. TheTokaj Hotel restaurant was the only restaurant we ate at more than once. Excellent food and service with a view of the Tisza from the veranda. Next time we go we will stay at the Tokaj Hotel priced at 6,900 HUF for two instead... More

Typical socialist building in the heart of Tokaj. Rooms and bathrooms are renovated to a minimal standard. The bed is new and comfortable. Be prepared to the noise of the busy road. Easy parking. Unfortunately they do not have air-condition. Breakfast is pretty good and the staff is kind. Do not miss a walk by the beautiful River Tisza! I... More

Accommodation had standard budget quality. Hotel seems a bit strange/ugly/empty - a lot of concrete and a few amenities... There is busy road near the hotel - so you will hardly sleep with open window. Hotel is convenient if you need parking and wifi near the center of Tokaj. Convenient was possibility to store bikes near reception. It is easier... More

I highly recomend Hotel Tokaj with its friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Very good location, nice room, good breakfast and resonable price. If you are in trouble they are happy to help. We left two jackets in the room and within few days we received parcel with them. Thank you once again. Marzena & Chris from Warsaw, Poland

This place is pretty run down with old carpets and smelly lobby. But you wouldn't find anything better if you travel around in the immediate neighborhood Rooms are very cheap. So you get pretty good value for your buck. I heard that they're building a new hotel not far from this place.

Visited Tokaj to taste different types of sweet tokaj wines in vineries. Stayed at this hotel only for 1 night. Hotel is located in the center of old town, next to a few small restaurants where you can taste different types of wines produced in this region. Hotel is pretty old - furnitures and bathroom. Restaurant is nothing special but... More

We have been staying in the Tokaj Hotel for the third time while driving through and we find it to be a good value hotel in an excellent location. The hotel itself is a bit worn out built in 70-s. The room was spacious and had a big balcony. The furniture of the room has been renewed a couple of... More
