So glad we found The Summit Lodge on our little spur of the moment trip to the Wairarapa. It was so relaxing, comforting and just what we needed. We loved being out in the country away from the noise of the city and the hospitality and the environment were excellent. We would love to stay again. More

I can't say enough wondeful things about the Summit Lodge, my only regret is that we did not stay there longer! Tracey and Jim were wondeful hosts. We had a delicious dinner with them (highly recommend) as well as a wonderful breakfast. The accomodation was very nice, clean and cozy! They were very helpful and knowledgeable about things to do... My brother and I had a wonderful night at Summit Lodge. We spent the afternoon in the lounge watching DVDs (we took some with us but there is a wonderful selection there). The amazingly comfortable reclining chairs, the log fire, the huge screen and the surround-sound make it better than the movies! We had a wonderful 3 course dinner, all... More

We only stayed 1 night but so enjoyed the company of Tracey & Jim, their lovely food and the thrill of feeding the alpacas. The Wairarapa is such a beautiful part of New Zealand. Recommend a relaxing stay at The Summit. Don't forget the wine tastings in the area. More

On an impulse we decided to come to the Wairarapa to do a bit of exploring over the holiday weekend. We weren't sure of where to stay. But after some research we chose the Summit Lodge because it seemed to be a high-end mellow place of the type we enjoy ... and we were right! We stayed two nights. The... More

A lovely place to stay in the Wairarapa. We travelled down from Hawkes Bay for the Crowded House Concert at Alana Estate Winery, which was a pleasant 20 mins drive away. The room was lovely as was the superb breakfast the next morning. I loved the sausages. We fed the Alpacas, of which I have a new found respect for... More

Exceptionally friendly hosts who went out of their way to make us welcome. Meals were beautifully cooked and presented, wines were local but carefully chosen and the ambience and location make it one of the Wairarapa's best kept secrets . . . More

The Summit Lodge is a recently purpose built luxury B&B with excellent facilities. Tracey and Jim are great hosts and love to entertain their guests, so a dinner at the lodge is recommended. Animal lovers will like feeding the seven alpacas and playing with the cats and the very friendly Labrador (just coming out of puppyhood when we visited). The... More

Another wonderful stay at Summit Lodge - thank you so much Tracey and Jim. The food was superb - so much homegrown and local produce - impressive! I really enjoyed the introduction to some lovely local wines. Relaxing in your lounge and watching some of your hundreds of DVDs made for a very enjoyable evening! I will be back. More
