How anyone could suggest that this is not a great hotel is beyond me! We have just returned from a ski trip last week and I don't think we have ever had such great customer service in a hotel anywhere. Susanna could not have been more helpful and attentive, the room cleanliness excellent and good selection at breakfast - could... More

We have just returned from a weeks ski holiday, staying at the Hotel du Glacier. We had the hotel recommended by my son Joe. The hotel is immaculate - clean and tidy and looked after by Susanna for whom nothing is too much trouble. The bedrooms are very clean, roomy and with great views, whilst the fresh continental breakfast provides... More

This was a really excellent three star hotel. The rooms were spotlessly clean and warm. We were made very welcome right from our arrival by the fantastic Susanna. The breakfast had a good selection and Susanna sorted out booking our evening meals at local restaurants with some really fantastic choices. Overall we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting... More

My wife and I have just returned from a stay with the best hostess Susanne, we have ever stayed with in our long time travelling the world. The hotel was so clean, the rooms were big enough for our needs, wardrobe space, really comfy big bed the bathroom was very modern, so clean and the room was always cosy warm,... More

My wife and I have just got home from a thoroughly enjoyable week with Crystal staying at the Hotel Du Glacier. When booking it was a toss up between the Planibel hotel/apartments or the Hotel Du Glacier. We went with the HDG based almost entirely on glowing reviews of the host Susanna; as we have often found our best hotel... More

We were skiing in La Thuile with Crystal and were delighted at the hotel. it is 5 minutes walk from the piste and has a good ski store to heat your boots so they are nice and cosy and soft in the morning. It also does not smell like a cheese shop which some boot rooms do. The room was... More

I have recently returned from a one week stay at hotel du glacier, italy, and I can honestly say I have never been treated as badly in my entire life. To treat a guest the way suzanna treated me on my last night and departure day was absolutely disgusting, especially as I behaved exceptionally and treated the hotel with respect.... More

I’m not sure what your first paragraph refers to – all week we tried everything we could to ensure you had the best stay possible and you haven’t spoken to our team at all (or Crystal) about any specific issues. With regards to your other comments, with the package you booked through Crystal, tea and coffee making facilities, a cooked... More

Have stayed at Du Glacier 5 or 6 times now for Skiing. The Hotel is spotless and the owner Susanna is a great host and will help with all our needs during your stay. Lovely views from the balconies and if you are at the back you can see the slopes. A 10 minute walk uphill from the main village,... More

This is a wonderful hotel in a great location. On first appearance this mid sized B&B hotel appears somewhat tucked out of the way in the Golette area of La Thuile. However, this works to the Hotel Du Glacier's advantage: the balconies boast interesting views of mountains, houses, church towers and ski slopes and the walk to the pistes themselves... More

I was going to rate this as 4* as the breakfast wasn't really to my taste, but to do so would be churlish because, as a 'continental' breakfast, it was in fact quite comprehensive! (As a Brit more used to 'uphill' skiing in Norway it would be good to start the day with something cooked, if only a boiled egg... More
