we came across Verdelais just by chance. It's so hard to say just how amazing it is. A stunning house with the garden leading down to a little private beach at Tindalls Bay. The owners are charming hosts and they have made their home the perfect place to stay. Air conditioning , good bedding , first class bathroom, stunning views... More

We read the earlier reviews on Tripadvisor. They were all positive & we totally agree. A great place to stay on the Peninsula. What makes it though are the wonderful owners-Glenys & David. They are so friendly, hospitable & interesting. Breakfast is beautiful array of local & homegrown produce. We stayed in the upstairs Aquarius room. A nicely appointed corner... More

Glenys and David are so welcoming. We had the Aquarius room, everything was just perfect and the view was amazing, looks just like the picture on their website. Breakfast was their signature - just superb! Recommend to anybody (both local and travelers), this is the perfect spot to stop over in Auckland or simply just a lovely weekend away.

We spent one night at Verdelais - unfortunately only one... The Verdelais is a relaxing and fabulous place, Glenys and David are great hosts, lovely people and they're very hospitable. Everything was perfect: the room, the view, the bar, the chats ;) We got a delicious and sumptuous breakfast on the balcony with ocean view. The beaches are just around... More

We stayed at Verdelais for only one night on our way to the Bay of Islands but left wishing that we could spend much longer there. Glenys & David were wonderfully hospitable, given that we arrived late on Christmas Day, just as they were about to sit down to Christmas dinner with family & friends. Totally unfazed, they invited us... More

We had a fabulous 5 night stay in February at Verdelais, having just completed a 24 day trip of north and south islands. The setting, location and views were truly magnificent. We needed a chill out 5 days which is exactly what we achieved. Glenys and David could not have been more hospitable making us feel relaxed and truly at... More
