Bridge Motel on the edge of Turangi town is a great place to stay. Very friendly and helpful staff, making sure we were comfortable and warm enough. The bed in our unit is one of the better we had slept in. The restaurant meal was very good - even had dessert - delicious to say the least. Great, unlimited WiFi... More

While the room was nice, clean and tidy with kitchen facilities, which we paid extra for over a " standard room". The sign, directly above the electric hob stated, no cooking of shellfish, fish, curries and any strong smelling food would/could incur a cleaning and out of action (not being able to let the room) fee charged to us after... Thanks for taking the time to post a review. The sign in question is a perfectly standard and polite request for guests to avoid cooking anything that will leave the room unable to be used by future guests. Most of our guests (all but yourselves to date) have taken the reasonable view and cooked their bacon & eggs or whatever... More

This is a great place to stay with nice, clean, comfortable rooms. Has a good restaurant and great bar with nice open fire. The service is excellent and the food superb - the fillet steak was simply spectacular! Great location next to the river set in well kept park-like grounds. Value for money is good and I will definitely stay... More

Nice little hotel in the small town of Turangi. The owner was very nice. Our room was nice, a decent size and really clean. There was a kettle, fridge and toaster. This was one of the best hotels for Internet of our 21 days in Golden chain motels in New Zealand. In a lot of the motels they annoyingly make... More

Thanks for your kind comments. Free unlimited WiFi was one of the first things we put in when we bought the business in 2014. We're glad you enjoyed the spectacular Tongariro Crossing. It can be a bit challenging with the weather this time of year but if you're lucky enough to get a good day the views are impressive indeed. More

We arrived around 3pm to a pre heated room and dumped our gear and went to the bar for a couple of quiet drinks. What a great atmosphere in front of the fire chatting with other guests and staff. We had one of the best steak meals I have had, cooked to perfection. The staff were attentive and friendly without... More

Thanks for the review. We recommend making use of the local fishing guides. They offer an excellent service for both the novice and experienced angler and they help make the fishing experience very enjoyable. More

We stayed at this hotel for two nights so we could do the Tongariro Crossing. The owners were very nice and helpful and told us how we could catch the Tongariro shuttle and gave us a local map of Turangi. The room was nice and clean and had a large window facing the Turangi river, although the embankment is too... More

Thanks for the review. I'm glad you got an opportunity to try some trout. Surprisingly few non-fisherfolk get the chance to taste quality rainbow trout. The river stopbank is a relatively new addition having being installed around 2006. Prior to that there were excellent views of the river from the riverside units but unfortunately it (the river) had a bad... More

This motel has a great location, just beside the Tangariro River, a few minutes drive to town center. Room is specious with full cooking facilities, free fast wifi, peaceful environment and of course comfortable bed and good shower. I just have nothing to pick on this motel. All in all, this is a great place to relax, especially if you... More

We booked two rooms and Kay & Brian the hosts, offered us two rooms which were inter-connected. We loved this place where we had a small but well appointed kitchenette. We conveniently cooked breakfast (not the dinner because we are curry people and we were advised against cooking with curries in the facility). The rooms were large and very comfortable.... More

This is a very clean and tidy motel complex. Well placed in the centre of the North island for those wishing to break their journey, or for those wanting to sample the local activities such as the famed trout fishing. The motel has a good bar and restaurant with very friend staff and serves really great food. The motel also... More
