We stayed in the back double room at Kotuku, a nice room plenty of light and wardrobe space. Peter was really helpful in advising on walks and places to see in the Whangamata area, couldn't ask for a nicer friendlier place to stay. We wouldn't hesitate in staying here again. Nice walls along the estuary are just minute away.

Peter and Linda were the best of hosts - interesting people who are interested in others. It's a charming b&b very close to a superb beach and beautiful river (both ideal for swimming) and about 20 minutes walk from town with restaurants and bars. Breakfast set us up for the day and for those who like a communal table there... More

Nice purpose built (one of two) ensuite bedroom in the main house situated just outside the town center. Peter and Linda were very welcoming and Peter supplied us with a very nice breakfast on our two day stay. There was an area with a tv and loungers for our use with loads of information and maps. Local advise from Peter... More

One of the real strengths of a B&B should be the welcome by the hosts and their advice on the local area. Peter and Linda delivered on all counts, with a cup of refreshing tea on arrival, suggestions on where to eat and what to do, and on providing us with a spade for our visit to Hot Water Beach.... This was a great find on the first night of a week long trip from Auckland to Wellington with another couple. Peter, Linda & Rosie their lovely dog were extremely welcoming & with limited choices for accommodation in the area we were very happy both couples were able to find en-suite rooms together. Free wifi was a bonus & something... More

From day one we were treated like good friends. The double room we were in was spacious with a ensuite bathroom and toilet. Peter and Linda were lovely hosts and made us fell very welcome, so did Rosie their dog. They gave us some good ideas for things to do and see in the area but they also had numerous... More

Bedrooms very good, with excellent shower. Breakfast reasonable ( don't have the omelette ) All bedrooms open into living area,i.e. breakfast dining area or lounge area. Quite Location with easy walk to one of the beaches. Whangamata very limited to restaurants at night in May (off season ) in fact may have none. Only 1 open on our 1st night, ''Oceana's''... More

We loved our three night stay at Peter and Linda's bach. It's close to the centre of town but far enough from it to be very peaceful and relaxing. The bach was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need, and more, and Peter and Linda went out of their way to make us comfortable and ensure our stay in... More
