This was our first stay in Whangamata. We chose to stay at the Palm Pacific Motel and Resort as it was central and had good amenities. THE GOOD: - The hosts and cleaners are lovely. Laid back, welcoming and very friendly - Perfect for families as it has a pool, two spas, sauna, petanque, BBQ area and a large grass... More

Stayed at resort for 3 nights and had a great time. Great facilities and location. Situated in the heart of the town it was an easy walk into town and centrally located. Kids loved the tennis court, Spa and pools. Only minor niggle was placement of car parks when situated in an upstairs room. Bit of a walk but not... More

This is an ideal place to stay with children. Easy short walk to town, nice two bedroom units, spacious and clean. The resort has a big swimming pool (2 meters deep), spa pool, tennis court and pétanque court. Lots of ways to keep children occupied. Leave the car at the resort and walk everywhere!

We stayed here for a couple of days pre Christmas and were chuffed with our choice / luck. Very friendly staff, pool great, if not a little chilly at first, with a lovely spa thrown in . Tennis court thrown in for good order. Having read a couple of posts would suggest booking a room with a low number where... More

Booked through the AA website on the day of travel which was the 22nd December for two nights. Nice pool (a little chilly at first) and spa, and rooms clean. Very friendly staff and a few minutes walk to town and beach. Ideal for families. Rooms have WIFI and a good Sky TV package

We have been moteliers ourselves for quite some time,, and Palm Pacific was lovely. Everything was spotlessly maintained, very well furnished, and up tp date. Hosts were very friendly, and helpful. We were in the town for the "Brits at the Beach" car show, and felt the car was quite secure. A lovely place to stay... highly recommend it.

On a one-night visit to the town, the two-room apartment was well appointed and spotlessly clean. not the cheapest but well worth the money, and located right in the middle of town for meals, viewing and going to the beach and pier. Great little town.

Located in town centre. Unit very clean & spacious. Manger helpful with where to have dinner. Requested a downstairs unit - when unit above occupied could hear every footstep. Towels had an unpleasant smell - unusable. Whilst manager apologised & explained how this could have happened, it would have been nice to have been offered replacement towells. Thought fully priced... More

Thank you for taking the time to comment. All our laundry is done onsite and the towels are washed daily by our efficient staff that have been here for many years. So we are at a bit of a loss as to why your towels would have an unpleasant smell. Only that they were brand new but were washed before... More

We ended up here by default as our rental fell through elsewhere when the owner of another property forgot we were coming and we wasted all afternoon waiting on being let in. Could not have been happier with our welcome at Palm Pacific . Facilities excellent. Accommodation spacious and a private spa was just the thing to deal with the... More

34 of us went down to Whangamata and spent 4 days at Palm Pacific. Pauline and John the hosts were so hospitable and did everything we asked of them. Awesome units that were very clean and large. A large swimming pool, spa, also a private spa, tennis court and petonque court. Each unit has outdoor table and chairs for you... More
