We stayed in a fully self contained chalet. We loved everything about it. It was pure luxury. The bathroom with a heated floor, the king sized super comfortable bed, the well equipped laundry and kitchen all spring to mind. The chalet is very private and also roomy. The staff at the resort were very friendly and helpful. An excellent restaurant... More

We brought a tour from Tauranga with our Sunday Lunch group. Several dishes gained rave reviews : The classy little offering of marinated olives & feta presented in a martini glass & the Coromandel Mussels to mention but two. And NEVER offer to share your sticky date pudding from the restaurant, as the reviewer did - & regretted doing so!... More

Unfortunately stayed just one night, which is not enough. The newly renovated rooms surrounded by native forest and birds, with their own decks, are large and comfortable. The heated floor in the large bathroom was also welcome. Dinner in the restaurant was very good, and naturally being New Zealand the wine list had some great offerings, including by the glass.... Nice resort away from everything. You feel very much one with nature. The chalets are well designed and the bathrooms are stunning . We are now obsessed with underfloor heating ! The only thing we didn't enjoy about the chalets is they are paired together so your neighbors are within ear shot distance. We recommend utilizing the resorts golf cart... More

We stayed for a week at Puka Park in May 2015, our second stay at this marvellous place. The resort is equipped with everything that you could need on a holiday, including peace and quiet, great food, good wine list, comfortable and inviting lounge and dining spaces. It is also well located for touring the Coromandel peninsula and the east... More

Fantastic staff in all departments, the restaurant is set out like a South Island lodge we went in autumn so the fires were lovely. You need to be a little bit fit with lots of steps and steep walkways no valet service here, which would be difficult for older people or the unfit also not so good in the bush... More

The hotel is situated in a location up the side of a hill overlooking Pauanui. If you are fit and the weather is dry, this is a nice place. If you aren't that fit or it's raining there are major challenges. The room we had required walking up some steep slopes and many steps in the open air from the... More

We were a family of 5 staying over Easter. The hotel was fantastic. The tree-house style cabins were gorgeous and very private. We had interconnecting cabins and they were of very high specification. Great bathrooms and one had kitchen facilities. With the pool, sauna, spa and tennis court, our boys didn't want to leave the hotel. The breakfasts were great... More
