We stayed for two nights right after Christmas, and enjoyed every bit of it. We were two families with a bunch of kids ages 4 to 12. we got two cozy cabins, all to ourselves, surrounded by the wood. The main lodge serves as the kitchen, dining room, leaving room and the perfect place to meat the other people/groups who... More

A little late posting this but really wanted to make it known that I was so happy to have stayed at the Wolf Den for three days in late September. As a camper, this was my first hostel experience and it exceeded my expectations on every level. From the time of arrival, the owners and staff were extremely welcoming, helpful... More

It's kinda hard to explain... As someone whose preferred idea of a stay away from home is 'granite, pine, easy canoe landing with a nice well-drained tent site', the Wolf Den is sheer luxury. You have to prepare your own food and do your own washing up, but-- they have capacious refrigerators and plenty of stovetop space, all in a... More

We stayed in the main lodge for 3 nights in September. The hostel was rustic and a perfect feel for being out with nature, tucked away off the main road in the trees. This place has a very laid back feel to it, from the minute you walk in taking your shoes off to making your bed with the clean... More

We've stayed at the Wolf Den about half a dozen times over the past 5 years, and always look forward to our next trip there. The location - just outside the west end of Algonquin Park - is perfect, the facilities are great, and Jacques & Jennifer are lovely hosts. We always meet great people when staying here, and have... We stayed for three days in the Beaver Cabin. It was such a great experience! Everything was clean and nice and the kitchen in the main lodge was very well equipped. The owners really care about their guests as they make a bonfire everyday and are willing to help with travel suggestions and everything else. There is also a nice... More

Me and a friend stayed here for two nights in October 2013 during a roadtrip from Toronto to Montreal. We wanted one of our pitstops on the way to be Algonquin Park, and found this hostel to stay at. And I am so glad that we did, because it is a charming spot along Highway 60 with a home-feel to... More

My friends and I stayed at the Wolf Den Hostel for one night on our way to Algonquin. I would just like to thank Jennifer and Jacques for being so accommodating and helpful when we were booking. It is a fantastic, cozy and friendly facility, with everything you could need, at very reasonable prices. I will definitely consider staying at... More

What a gem of a place the Wolf Den is. Immediately we felt at home, taking our shoes of at the front door and being welcomed and given a guided tour of the place by Jacques, meeting Jenn and Cole the dog. We had the 3 single bed room, but the cabins look fabulous. The kitchen was clean, organised and... More

we spent three nights in Wolf Den Hostel. It is an excellent place to stay when you want to visit Algonquin. It's close to the park's entrance, and it's direct surroundings are worthwhile. As you can see in the other reviews, you do your own cooking in an adequately equiped and fairly spacious kitchen. You will of course run into... More
