we spent three nights in Wolf Den Hostel. It is an excellent place to stay when you want to visit Algonquin. It's close to the park's entrance, and it's direct surroundings are worthwhile. As you can see in the other reviews, you do your own cooking in an adequately equiped and fairly spacious kitchen. You will of course run into... More

A very nice hostel with a homely feeling, consisting of both private cabins and shared dorms. In the main house there's a shared kitchen and a gaming room upstairs. It's a fantastic place to stay and a good vantagepoint if you plan on visiting the Algonquin National park. The hosts Jen and Jacques creates a great atmosphere and helps out... More

We stayed here in June of 2012. If you want to save a little money and don't mind doing dishes and cooking your own foods, then this is the place to stay. It's within a few Km of the Western Park Gate and is right on Hwy 60. We got a warm bed and a quiet room/mini cabin and that's... More

Wolf Den was a wonderful place to stay for a a few days with my family. We were able to enjoy the beauty of Algonquin hiking and canoeing during the days, and we were able to relax back at the hostel in the evenings whether barbecuing dinner outside or sitting around the campfire. The owners, Jacques and Jen (and Cole),... More

As a base camp to a perfect paddling weekend, the Wolf Den Bunkhouse and Cabins was a perfect retreat! Hosts Jacque and his wife Jenn (I believe, correct me if i'm wrong) had just taken ownership 10 days prior. Both hosts were engaging and helpful even though Jenn had recently injured herself and was obviously in pain. On the final... More

Had a relaxed few days in 2009. Stayed in the main house and enjoyed the place. Great starting place for algonquin park. There is a lovely kitchen and reading / games area. You can also stay in private lodges.

We can't wait to go back to this, homey, rustic, welcoming hostel. The space is conducive to socializing as well as having a quiet time. We stayed in the main building as part of an outing club and had a great time. The cost for staying here is very reasonable. Bring your own food and enjoy.

Had a wonderful experience at Wolf Den from the minute we got there until we left. Very laid back. The place was full. A group was having a pre Thanksgiving dinner. The walks in the area were great - did not have to drive anywhere. My friend from England even got to Kayak with a member of one of the... More
