Kings House is the only game in town on this portion of the West Highland Way. After a long walk, any accommodation would have been acceptable....this one was, but the rooms really need an update. Room size was adequate, but the bathroom was pretty awful....old, buckling floor, mold growing around the tub, ting sink around knee level, toilet only flushed... More

After a 19mile walk any accommodation would be nice, the staff here were very friendly and the rooms were more than adequate a nice bed, tea and coffee making facilities and a TV. The food in the restaurant was very nice as was the breakfast in the morning. Every morning and evening the deer appear to be fed which is... More

It's important to know that this is a dated hotel, however the last thing it should have is a re-vamp. With its floral wallpaper, taxidermy, and 1960s style bathroom, it's really characterful and I loved spending time here. I had my favourite breakfast on the West Highland Way here (smoked haddock and poached egg), a brilliant venison burger, and the... More

Unfortunately this is the only place you can stay in Glencoe / Kings Head along the West Highland Way and it really isn't very good! Such a shame and very disappointing. Aside from the staff, who I must admit were friendly and nice enough, the hotel is really dire. It's in need of a TOTAL revamp. Everything was rather dirty:... More

I have been going here with my family for many years and every time they treat us as though we are their only clients. We travel with a dog and therefore have slightly separate needs and they welcome you, even when we arrive late, and make sure they do all they can for you. The inside is a real old... More

Nestled into the foothills of Glencoe, this historic and picturesque hotel offers the best of everything. A remote setting, situated beside a small burn with humpback bridge, history and heritage and also superb pub-grub. Owner/operators run a great venue and are warm, welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. Don't drive by.....! On the West Highland Way.

Due to it's age, this hotel is dated on the inside and could do with being painted/decorated... however, this is a historic Scottish highlands hotel which retains a lovely homely feel and a true Scottish experience. Warm fires, comfy sofas, good pub meals, friendly staff & aaaamazing views. Our room was a good size with three single beds and an... More

Stayed here for a few nights whilst exploring parts of Scotland with family and friends. It has a wonderful remote location and is great for walking, hiking and Skiing, you can even walk to one of the ski resorts. The staff were good and our rooms were comfortable enough. No doubt, if you stay here, you will have a car,... More

I stayed at the Kings House whilst walking the West Highland Way. This hotel was the hotel I was looking forward to the most due to the great reviews, the price we paid and the lovely surroundings. A nice and welcoming hotel, very friendly she helpful staff in all areas of hotel. Guest lounge fantastic, and the fire very welcome having been out on the moors all day! Great food. Rooms very basic and could do with an upgrade to compliment the price paid. Mostly comfortable. Good parking and amazing views out the windows. Great to meet... More
