Stayed here one night during our west highland way walk. This is no luxury hotel, but it has all you need as a walker. Nice bed, hot water in the shower and good decent pub food. The chicken mayo in our packed lunch was the best I ever had. Breakfast was as standard - nothing to complain about there.

I'd last stayed here maybe twelve years ago, and it was down-at-heel and gloomy then. I thought that they must by now have invested in some updating, improvements, better facilities, but no. If anything its now worse. Arriving about 5 there was a small scrum of people in reception and no-one at the desk, no-one answering the bell. I went... More

We stayed here for one night while walking the West Highland Way. This was one of the worst places in terms of amenities but was fun all the same. The place is incredibly run down and tired, the room had no TV or wifi - there is meant to be wifi in the bar but the bandwidth is so poor... More

Myself and 3 friends visited Kings House on Saturday night the 9th May during a marathon walk of 50 miles in one day from Fort William to Crianlarich and the staff at this establishment could not have been more helpful supplying us a delicious and nutritious beef casserole and were so friendly and caring - SUPERB - Just what you... When we arrived we were given directions to our rooms,on entering our room it was a box room with a sink ,small bed, tea coffee facilities .Room wasn't en suite, no tele either.So... More

We stayed here whilst walking the West Highland Way. The best thing about the hotel is the location. When we went up to our room we looked out the window at 6 deer just outside. The view from the window was breathtaking and changed as the weather changed and as the light faded. Room was okay. Best thing was the... More

I always love this place. It's very cozy and the scenery is second to none! The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's not flashy or modern (some of the rooms are a bit dated), but I can really recommend going here!

Walking into this hotel is like stepping back thirty or forty years. The carpet wasn't properly fitted in our bedroom, the bed was small and uncomfortable and the bathroom had seen better days. However, there was plenty of hot water, which was a definite plus. Once we got used to the old fashioned and neglected air of the place with... More

The best thing about this hotel is the staff - all very helpful and friendly. It's pretty much the only place to stay in the area and a must on the West Highland Way but that doesn't seem to have made it complacent.

My family and I had been travelling on the West highland way and stayed the night at the King's House Hotel. The hotel was warm and had decent bar food, but its interior was a bit disappointing. The bar seats were torn, and the carpets needed replaced. A little shabby. However it provided a perfect nights sleep followed by a... More
