Firstly, the location of this hostel is a bit tricky to find as it is quite far from the center of the village, but if you follow the given direction, it should be fine. Secondly, the hostel itself is large and clean, especially the dining/kitchen area, and the room/toilet are clean and tidy too. The staff was extremely friendly and... More

I came to this hostel needing a last minute place to stay because I couldn't find a suitable wild camping spot that night. This had me a little stressed and i was happy to have found a place for the night. Was planning to have a relaxing lie in the next morning but I was told while I was making... More

Hi There, Thanks for your review. I am really disappointed to read this as Glencoe YH scores very highly with our guests and so to receive these comments is really disappointing for the team. Just to clarify: We ask our guests to vacate certain areas of the Youth Hostel each day between 1030 and 1500 to allow us to do... More

Scotland is lucky to have dotted around its expansive landscapes a number of perfect hidden-away spots in which to stay when exploring. It turns out that if you are exploring Glen Coe then the spot you need to go to is the Glen Coe Youth Hostel. This is a really well run and well organised hostel with all the cooking... More

First time in a youth hostel and I was very impressed. Great value for money, good location, good facilities, warm, comfortable, good sized kitchen, good communal areas, very large drying room, nice people, and a ten minute walk to the pub! Highly recommended.

Great position in a beautiful valley. Well placed for dozens of walks. A bit of a walk to the nearest shop so arrive well-stocked. The nearby Clachaig Inn has good food and great beer! Hostel is well-managed, clean and welcoming. Highly recommended.

A stop on our Land's End to John O'Groats bike ride. All facilities are here. Fantastic. Bike shed, big kitchen, good showers, big dry room. Good to do some laundry and get it dry before you set off the next day. Lots of midges but midge repellent is on sale here.

After a day climbing the near by Three Sisters range we spent the night at the local hostel. The location is really scenic, surrounded by forrest area and obviously giant hills. The dorm itself was really quiet, we shared with 3 other guys. The staff were nice & helpful. £1.20 for unlimited coffee is a huge plus point for me!... More

i could not fault this hostel at first. The staff were helpful , the place v clean and well equipped. The location is simply stunning nestled in the mountains with great views.Unfortunately a number o the punters that night decided to have a noisy drinking session in the so called "quiet room". This went on until 3am. Yes, they were... More

Great hostel, clean, excellent staff, cheap, great location. Staff here could not have been more helpful! (And were far better than the neighbouring independent hostel staff.) Place was spotless, toilets, showers, bedrooms, kitchen all really clean and clearly cleaned regularly. Most impressive was the staff friendliness.

Lovely stay at the end of a wonderful days cycling from Glasgow. Great location, secure lock up for bikes, comfortable beds and great staff made this the best hostel we stayed in. 10 mins walk from a great pub. Highly recommended.
