Dysentery by the sea was the title given to this hotel many years ago and it lives up to that name The most discourteous staff in existence dirty toilets warm beer and slow service. Attending a friends wedding on 26/07/14 it started out badly the room was booked for 200 they had 80 seats and the wedding party had to... More

Ok where do i start my Partner and i had our wedding reception at the Park hotel on 19th July 2014. I am going to start with the positives. The room was really spacious and we had our own bar area. The food was amazing. Seriously can not fault the chef. He did an outstanding job considering what we asked... More

A one day stay at this holiday was quite enough. It was dirty, understaffed and falling apart literally. The bathroom ceiling panels were hanging off. There was no hot water for either bath or shower. A national holidays trip so we are used to many kinds of hotel. this was quite the worst i have stayed in. A real poor start... More

We visited this hotel with National Holidays so for the price did not expect luxury, but where pleasantly surprised. The room was very basic but really clean and the bedding, towels etc where spot on.The only complaint about the room was the lack of a bedside lamp or switch so you had to get out of bed to turn lights... We stayed one night here with National Holidays on a budget weekend, and got a budget hotel, which needs some tlc and some improvements in its general service. Room had a good view over the sea and had probably been refurbished not that long ago, and was roomy with a comfortable bed, but there were unidentifiable marks and messes on... More

- Ran out of most of the popular booze on the bar before the function had even started, vodka, beers & lagers.... few more probably. - The que for the bar was about 30 people long, only 2 people serving at snails pace!! when we got to the front they wouldn't serve if you didn't have the correct change!! -... Stayed one night on 14th June. Kindest words I can use for this hotel are shoddy and dirty. The place is abysmal, would not kennel my dog here. Food was basic but ok. The bathroom in the room I had was dirty, could not use shower or bath. The room had hot water pipes running under floor so was like... More

Attended a dance show here on Friday evening! The dancers were fantastic. The service from the hotel was disgraceful and I hope some of the money is refunded? One person in the function room bar to serve 300?! Many went to the queue in the other bar which initially only had one member of staff too! Having been told by... More

Stayed May 31st for one night on a National Holidays Durham/Holy Island trip. The hotel was well situated just across the road from beautiful Longsands beach. The food was okay but, frankly, little else was! The first thing was the tv had no signal so I went to reception only to be told that there was a fault on the... More

Stayed may 14 for one night, that was enough. Tv not working, shower not working, not sure when room last had a good clean. The smell of the hotel and then to top it off the food and dining area.We will not be going back.
