Lets hope this lovely pub in a lovely village gets cleaned up and sorted out with pleasant staff, the food and staff used to be great but its gone down hill, obviously they dont like true reviews because my last review of the place was taken off, shame they cant take critisism about the place!!

Just heard that this establishment is either going to change hands or close!!! With the awfull attitude of staff, overrated food & unreliability of being open when you go, this is not suprising!! Just a shame this historical building may stay empty in the heart of a beautiful village.

Called in for lunch and enjoyed an excellent mixed grill. Well cooked and plenty of it! Could have had a very reasonable 2 course meal (£7.95) with a fair amount of choices but went for the grill instead (£15.95). Beer (Bombardier) excellent too as was the welcome from the staff. Altogether a very enjoyable lunch! Thoroughly recommended.

Stayed recently overnight after visiting Lincoln Christmas Market. This is the third time we have done this as a party of 6 and look forward to returning next year. After a warming drink by the welcoming fire we went to our rooms to change for dinner. Each en-suite room is different but offers an equal level of comfort. We take... More

I had a gorgeous lunch with a friend. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. We shared Brie wedges and chicken & ale pate for starters & they were FANTASTIC!! I had chicken main and the sauce was beautiful. The pub is spacious and inviting and very reasonably priced. The village location I'd also delightful. Great stuff!

I have just spent 3 nights at the Red Lion on a business trip. It is an attractive building in a nice village and the road next to the pub is no so busy that it will disturb your sleep. I was lucky to be in room 4 which was a large suite with a four poster bed. The room... More
