We spent a fantastic week in the Anna apartment, which is on the ground floor, and equipped with everything you need for your stay - including a most generous welcome pack and wine (thank you!) The apartment has a lovely terrace overlooking the valley with the village of Montone on the hilltop above and we spent most of our time... More

What a wonderful position and so peaceful, nestled under Montone with the church bell peeling the hour. Linda is a super hostess and the apartments are magnificent - tastefully designed and equipped. A big thank you to all on top of the hill, I'll be back

Perched on the side of a vine clad hill with the most magnificent views across the valley to Montone our 2 bed apartment [which is called Marcello and one of 3 apartments in a converted farmhouse-] was an absolute delight. Beautifully decorated and equipped with all you required including readlng material on surrounding towns, villages, museums, galleries, activities as well... More

Sally and I stayed at San Martino last year, so this was our second visit. This time we had two friends with us. We stayed in the Anna room, a two bedroom (both en suite) apartment. Everything is just perfect, from the well-stocked kitchen, the starter pack, the decor... For us, one of the most wonderful things is that it... More

Ben and Linda have thought of everything - the accommodation at San Martino was the best equipped we have been to. All our usual moans about dribbles for showers, uncomfy beds and no pillows were not needed here! There was also plenty of space for our son to run around and Linda was not precious about her plants or where we... We visited San Martino mid May for a second time (1st was 2011). It was an even better experience than the first, although we thought that would be hard to improve on. Beautiful location for rest and relaxation, with some excellent dining 5 mins drive up the hill to Montone a wonderful medieval hilltop town. Gubbio market on a Tuesday... More

We have just had a great week at San Martino. Ben & Linda have created a wonderful place to stay. The accommodation is fabulous (we were in Anna) and beautifully decorated. We couldn't have asked for anything more. The kitchen is well-stocked, so we had everything we needed. The views from almost anywhere on the property are fantastic. This was... More

We spent a week at San Martino in June 2013. Our only regret is that we didn't stay for longer. The house is well located for day trips throughout Umbria and certain places in Tuscany such as Siena are also doable as a day trip. San Martino itself is a wonderful place, very relaxing and the local village Montone is... More

I can only rave about the beauty and comfort of this place. The owners have made the appartments, ours and others' we were able to see, and the garden with pool area into a true home from home which accommodates all tastes. Also, we have never come across such a well and thoughtfully equipped appartment. Apart from all necessary utensils... More

We spent almost two weeks in San Martino in July 2013. The place is truly relaxing and idyllic, peaceful and well kept. Nature is close to you, and the starry nights and fireflies... Linda and Ben took care of us and shared their knowledge and advice. Within 1 hour of drive there dozens of magnificent medieval cities and villages worth... More
