We spent a couple of days in this beautiful place, the scenery specially with the saline, the ocean and at the time the flowers was perfect for a portrait. the hotel is quite and clean, but a little expensive for what it is. Breakfast was good as anything in Sicily. We stayed for dinner in the close by restaurant and... More

A big part of the uniqueness I can directly attribute to our accommodations, but also the scenic location, and the proximity to the restaurant/museum of salt. I'm not sure if I’d call this place a hotel, resort, or agriturismo. I guess it’s a little of all of those things. In fact, it was originally a working farmhouse, but it was... More

Location is right between Marsala, Trapani & Erice which makes it a great hotel to move around. However, the service you receive from this hotel is not quite what you expect from a 4 star as none of the staff cares about your stay, comfort once check in is done. also in terms of facilities, it looks much better on... We stayed here for our first night after getting into Trapani airport - I wasn't overly keen on staying anywhere in town and this place had good reviews. Can't really say anything negative about the place. If you want to stay somewhere close to the salt stacks you see in all the photos of this bit of coastline then definitely... More

We stayed at the Relais Antiche Saline in March. The hotel is a few steps away from the Saline in Trapani and to the salt museum. The close by restaurant was very good and easy to get to without having to drive. The Room was on the first floor and you could see the sea. I am sure the upper... More

When you finally reach the gate of this structure ( at one point you will think to have got lost even if it well indicated ..) you will thank whoever took the decision to come here as the location is simply uniquely stunning . where else in Europe you can sleep among roof shaped pyramidis of salt , having views... In general we enjoyed our stay. The room was big and clean, we had a sea view room and it was nice. Lots of tv channels! The hotel is smaller than I'd imagine, the location is very secluded, perfect for a quiet holiday. The staff were nice and friendly. Breakfast was good, got a good selection. However, there are a... Very nice little place in a beautiful setting. The staff was charming and made everything to improve our stay. They let us keep the room until the next people checked in because our flight was in the evening, even if it made them run for housekeeping. Breakfast offered a variety of option, with fresh fruits, cheeses, pastries, cereals, yogourt, bread,... More

Loved the hotel. Room had a great sea view along with a view of the beautiful islands of Faviignana, Marettimo & Levanzo. Staff was friendly and helpful even recommending two small villages for homemade cannoli! The breakfast room was beautiful and the breakfast was delicious. Homemade fresh ricotta and my first taste of the fruit of the cactus, "barbary fig".... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The baglio (farmhouse) of Marquise Platamone can be found in Trapani and Paceco Salt Pan Nature Reserve. It is located a short distance from the sea, overlooking the Egadi archipelago that, in 241 B.C., was the site of the naval battle between the Romans and the Carthaginians. In more recent years it has been the location of the 32nd America’s Cup sailing contest. The careful renovation which has been carried out to convert the farm house into accommodation facilities has preserved both the environment and the genuine characteristics of Sicilian tradition. The Relais Antiche Saline is halfway between Trapani airport and the city centre, only a few kilometers from both.In fact, in only 10 minutes you can get to Nubia and arrive at the Relais. ... more   less
