A number of travel incidents led us to need a hotel near Rome International Airport. We were directed to this wonderful small family run place. It's almost not really a hotel so much as a place for stranded passengers. They have only 4 rooms and the one we stayed in was nice with a comfortable bed and a good bathroom. Quite clean and quiet. It's only 10 minutes by taxi from the airport yet it's on an inlet with fishing boats. The it is really a restaurant with a few rooms. The grandfather, Sicilian by birth, runs the restaurant and it was an unexpected treat with great pastas and fish. more

Just 4 bedrooms available over a delightful restaurant and only l5 minute drive to Fiumicino's Leonardo da Vinci Airport. Located on Fiumicino's Sacro Isalo and facing a small sailboat port. It's clean and well furnished; but you must get your bags up a flight of steps. Breakfast is coffee & roll at coffee bar next door. ----- You can drive to Rome in 60 minutes or park 23E and take the express train from airport 22E round trip to Rome ; Ancient Ostia ruins are l5 minutes away and worth the trip. The new port of Rome is 10 minutes away and a nice place to eat and stroll. This is a good alternative to typical huge airport hotel if you want to walk around and maybe have a day trip or two. more
