This hotel is close to the airport -- if you know how to get there. They must put a good map & directions on their website. It is on an island and you can drive around Fumincino for an hour (we did) and not find it if you do not know to cross the little bridge with the two big... more

The hotel staff was not very friendly. It was really confusing trying to find the shuttle from the airport (which is NOT free). The location is two blocks from the beach, the beach is dirty and there is nothing around. It is not a nice area. The room smelled like smoke and when we complained that it smelled, the man... more

I and two friends stayed one night at the Riviera. Overall, we were pleased. When we arrived at the airport, we called the hotel for them to tell us how to get the shuttle to the hotel. Unfortunately, the shuttle service ended at 9:15, so the clerk told us to take a taxi, but not to pay more than 25... more

Where to begin: 1. Do not be fooled. It is NOT close to the airport. 5K turned into a 20 minute cab ride where you get fleeced by taxis like we did. I thought I had a great rate at this place only to be charge 30 Euro by some scam artist cab driver to get there. The cab was... more

Dear Madam We have just read your comments on the web-site about your experience in our hotel. What I am writing in this letter is not only the opinion of an hotel manager, but the cosiderations of an usual traveller. Regarding your bad experience with the taxi-driver, we totally understand your great disappointment having to discuss with an impolite and...

We stayed at the Riveria Hotel to be near friends who own a home just down the street. We weren't sure what to expect after reading some of the negative reviews, but decided to take a chance. Glad we did! The entire hotel was very clean, nicely decorated, and the staff was top notch. They all spoke English, and were... more

Yep, roaches. The hotel seemed clean, but when we turned on the lights at 5 am to go to the airport, what was scuttling across the floor? A big cockroach. We killed it, confirmed that it wasn't just a beetle. I'm getting the willies just writing about this. This place was also ridiculously hard to find at night, and the... more

Friendly service, clean rooms with modern furnishings. Just two blocks from the ocean. We had an excellent dinner at the Mirage restaurant near the beach. more

We booked this hotel based on the location, we had a 7am flight out of Fiumicino and needed a low-priced hotel nearby. To get to the hotel we took the Leonardo Express from Rome to the airport, then took a taxi. Cost was 17 Euros, it would've been less if the driver didn't get lost. When we got to the... more

I don't even know where to begin. We didn't actually end up staying at the hotel so I wasn't sure whether to post our experience or not. To start, here are a couple of valid points: First, this hotel is not close to the airport. Second, it appears that there is absolutely nothing near the hotel (restaurants, alternative hotels). Third,... more

I stayed at the Riviera for one night before an early morning flight in July of 2007. I chose the hotel because of the close proximity to the airport. The hotel is quite pricey for what you get, but the convenience is unquestionable. Staff: The hotel staff appears friendly, but during the short stay I really had no encounters with... more
