I would leave it at filthy except that our beds were clean. As longtime HHonors members, we stayed in an "executive room" on floor 5. This gave us free Internet, which was much appreciated (in contrast to the Hilton Madrid which as of October 2011 charges €30 per night for Internet) & free food (more like snacks, certainly not meals).... Good Hilton - clean, renovated (you can tell its an old building but its neat and not bad), the rooms are big. Very convenient if you are catching a flight since the airport is right there.

Hilton Rome airport is connected to the terminal, so no need to get taxi, get wet, or get up extra early to commute for a flight out of the city. The hotel has a free shuttle into the city center, or the Leonardo Express is in the airport a short walkway away. Convenient, super-clean and friendly. Can't beat the combination!
