I spent one night here. The room was big, with a comfortable bed, big wardrobe and good A/C. The bathroom was clean and there were all the toiletries. However, the room was quite noisy because it's just next to a street. So take your earplugs. For breakfast they offer a selection of home-made cakes, cereal, yoghurt and fruit. The staff... More

The hotel sits very close to the river banks (Fiumara Grande). It is 15 minutes by taxi from the International Airport Leonardo Da Vinci. The outside is pretty anonymous in white with blue trim. There is a small reception area, the hotel is staffed by nice, friendly people. it is a 2 story building, no elevator. The rooms are spacious, well... More

We stayed on night at Al Porticciolo as we had an early flight leaving from Fiumicino the next day. Staff was helpful and accommodating. Wi-fi was a bit sketchy. Our room, at the end of the hall on the 2nd floor, was extremely noisy all night long, and as there are 2 street lights right outside the window, we could... More

Cute and clean hotel- we were very grateful that the room was nice and cool when we arrived. We enjoyed our stay overall. The bed was comfortable and the staff did their best to accommodate us. We were only there for one night to catch a flight the next morning. We were having difficulties with the wifi and kept going... More

This hotel gets mixed reviews. The contemporary room was large with a very nice updated bathroom. The room was right on the street, so there was traffic noise all night. Plus, the window did not shut all the way so I had to tie the closing cord to a piece of furniture to keep the window shut. Staff was helpful... More

This is a tiny hotel with a Michelin starred restaurant. It is close to the Tiber River in Fiumicino and is a short bus trip from Ostia Antica if you want to go there. The room I had was smallish but spotlessly clean and very quiet - despite the fact that there was a carnival going on only 100 metres... More

A very clean, tiny hotel on the edge of the port. They have a restaurant but did not try it. Only 9 rooms with a fair price. Immaculate which is most important. a look at a changing city in italy which is close to rome. There is probably an easier and cheaper way to get here to keep the cost... More

My husband and I recently spent two nights at Al Porticciolo when we arrived in Italy and another night before our flight out the next day. We chose it because it is near FCO and we thought it would be convenient. To our surprise and delight we found it is not only convenient to the airport but a beautiful, wecoming,... More

Having read positive reviews of this hotel on Tripadvisor and looking for a place near Leonardo DaVinci airport for the first day after our arrival in Italy and for the night before our early flight home two weeks later, I booked Al Porticciolo for those two nights for my husband and me. Our flight arrived very early and we wound... More

Don't believe everything you read in hotel descriptions. Although our stay in this hotel was only one night, it was ruined by the lack of a functioning A/C system. The room was uncomfortably hot, which made sleeping difficult. The description of the room when we booked it clearly stated "air conditioned room". But when I claimed this to the non-English... More
