Stayed here for a week while in Matala. I was surprised about all the rave reviews about how nice and hospitable the people that worked here were. This was not my experience. We stayed on the "Paradise" side (didn't know there were 2 parts to the hotel but didn't really matter), the man who stays/lives there could be quite abrupt... More

Hotel Orama is very nice small family hotel with category **. It's located 760 meters from the Matala beach (warning - travel agencies report less!!) and hidden far in the valley by the road to St. Stephen church. The Orama is a simple Greek hotel in a beautiful setting. On a side road of Matala, only 5 minutes walk from the beach. The road ends at the hotel, so it is very quiet. Breakfast is served in a room by the pool, which is a fanrastic place to chill out after a hot day at the beach. The... More
