Stayed here is summer, and visited the restaurant in both winter and during a hot summer. Rooms are basic but neat, definitely worth a stroll up to the ruins when it's open during the week. Restaurant meals are pretty heavy going in the main, highlight for me is a quiet beer at the end of the day on the amazing... More

The food is prepared exceptionally well. There is a lovely view of Neckar valley and the river from the outdoor seating area. The service is superb. This restaurant is a joy to visit. The price is on the moderately expensive side, but is well worth it.

This was the highlight of a long day of sightseeing. I enjoyed exploring the castle/hotel and grounds. Lunch was excellent. Sure it is on slightly pricey side, but the view was amazing and the food was superb. This is the perfect spot for a break and I thought for a romantic lunch/dinner. The service was spot on and the place... More

Don't let the name of this hotel misguide you. It is not a hotel in a castle. The hotel rooms are in an annexe next to the castle ruins. Parking is very limited. The hotel does offer a pseudo castle effect in the reception but that is where it ends. The rooms are smallish, but there is a balcony overlooking... More

This was certainly a highlight of our trip to germany. We stayed here on a dinner, bed and breakfast package. The room was lovely and had a balcony overlooking very thick forest, which was very peaceful. We had a wine tasting from the vineyard surrounding the castle, then had our own explore round a lovely little old castle with lovely... More

My husband and I can't wait to return. Everything was perfect. The ruins were amazing, The room was lovely & charming. The food is absolutely incredible and so was the wine they make from their own vineyard. We loved every bit of our visit.

Set high above the Neckar River the hotel has a commanding view of the river and surrounding countryside. The hotel is adjacent to the 11c castle which is now in ruins although it still costs 3 euros to climb among them. If it is was situated in the UK one would not be allowed to enter for health and safety... More

It appeared to me I was in wrong company here :-) Instead of travelling with my wife, I travelled with a couple of my friends. For a bunch of guys, the romantic side of this hotel is of course put aside... The setting is very nice. It's clear it's very old, it has the charm, but it still functions well.... More

We stayed for our anniversary in a room that looked out over the Neckar valley. It was truly wonderful in that finally the sun came out and we were able to climb the castle walls and look out over the valley. We did a little wine tasting. The food and service were excellent. The sun made this day standout as... More
