Store Kro is nice for the history and the storytelling about the castle and the surrounding of this small Danish town. Five minutes away you have the summer residence of the Queen and the home of the Crown Prince family. All over the property you will find pictures, furnitures and items with the royal edge. Booked a night here including dinner and breakfast in June 2007 based on excellent review in Frommers. The location near the Fredsenborg castle is very appealing, and a morning walk around the grounds was the best part of the visit. Frommers rec getting a room with a view of the castle but front office staff were unaware of this and... more
