Just got back from a 7 days stay at this 'resort'. Have some good and bad comments but mostly bad. The rooms are big and cleaned every day. Sometimes you get towels, sometimes not, so you have to ask! There was hardly water coming out of the shower, but three days after we asked, they came to fix it. The... More

The resort is close to Dolhin Bay resort, another place where we stayed on our trip to Zanzibar in the last week of December 2011 before moving to Dolphin Bay Resort. This place is a good 2 hour drive from the airport. This is small resort with a medium sized beautiful blue pool right in the middle next to the... More

The pool was cool and refreshing. You can swim on the beach at high tide. The rooms were clean, with a safe in the room. We had a power outage once during our stay. The meals at the restaurant were good.

We stayed here for 2 nights during Christmas 2012. When we arrived, we've got an upgrade to a larger room, because the room we had booked had some problems. We got a real spacious room, with separate living room, with beach view. It is a relatively small resort, which makes it personal. The food is good. Sometimes when it is... More

Small hotel, with very personal service. The large rooms in bungalow style were kept very tidy. Restaurant serves very good food. We liked everything being so quiet in the resort. No animation team, no loud music at night. The perfect place to stay for relaxing. The hotel is situated next to the village of Kizimkazi. The hotel offers the opportunity... More

We spent 4 amazing nights at the Swahili Beach resort on the South East coast of Zanzibar.Remember to take $50 for the Visas at arrival. It went fairly quickly at arrivals, considering the chaos at passport control. There was a group of guys at the luggage collection holding onto the bags and requesting money to hand it over. Just say... More

What can I say about this hotel and the area surrounding it without gushing? We visited just before the end of Ramadan to find the hotel empty with just the two of us as guests for the whole of our two week stay......for us this was heaven. All the accommodation in the immediate area was also very quiet so the... More

Swahili Beach Resort is the perfect antedote to the hustle and bustle of modern life. Situated on a lovely stretch of beach in Kizimkaze in the southern most point of Zanzibar, it is an ideal spot for swimming, bumming around on the beach, gazing at the beautiful sunsets and watching the twinkling lights of Dar in the distance.
