We were originally booked into the Aphrodite beach hotel, when the travel company went bust. We were then moved to Gouves Sea and Mare Hotel a few weeks before our holiday. Having read the reviews I was a bit worried. We arrived on the 11th June 2014. When we got there about 11pm the lovely receptionist showed us to our... More

You have to bear in mind that this hotel only went AI last year. They need to get thier act together. Very limited in the free drinks dept, they have to accept what AI means! Different days, different rules regarding what u get when. Rest average but choice extremely limited and poor at times regarding quality. Breakfast inedible. Not even... More

My husband and I spent a week here in September 2011. All in all we were happy with the hotel. Gouves Mare is definitely supposed to be better than Gouves Sea, so stay there if you can afford the extra cost. In Gouves Sea there is no TV and internet only in the hall. Nevertheless the nice staff (Gus and... More

Read a number of good reviews for this hotel and booked on the strength of them but I would have to say the standard of accommodation was way below what I expected. I checked in at the main reception area which looked promising but was then taken down to my room at the Gouves Sea next door by a gentleman... More

We arrived at this hotel rather late in the evening due to the late running of our ferry. The Reception (which turned out not to be) was unmanned but a helpful lady made a quick call and a gentleman appeared who very efficiently whisked us by golf buggy, up to the sister hotel, the Gouves Mare as the restaurant was... We have just returned from our wonderful holiday at the family run Gouves Sea Hotel. I booked this holiday back in January after reading many good reports and reviews about this hotel.
