We had a great holiday staying at this hotel. Although there was no entertainment at this hotel we took the local bus into Heraklion and did some tours such as full day trip to Spinalonga (33euros) which is recommended. We found it cheaper to buy tickets from the shops bottom of the street where the hotel is. The apartments were lovely and clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful especially the manageress ELINA who was excellent. From Scottish lady Alice

I really enjoyed my stay at Klio, the room was perfect, clean and comfortable, the food was really nice with lots of choice. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that I had a wonderful stay and I absolutely did. They were always friendly and accommodating - particular huge thanks to Elena and Manos for everything you did for me. The people here are kind and friendly and the hotel is in a great location only a short walk to the beach, bars and shops. Thank you all at Klio for everything ❤️

We had such a lovely time at this hotel. The hospitality was amazing! The food was served 3 times a day and there was a variety of foods each day. We stayed in an apartment room with a kitchenette, we were expecting to have a kettle or something to make our own drinks but unfortunately it was only a sink and a fridge. Other than that the room was lovely, it was cleaned daily and had very good air conditioning. Thank you for such a wonderful stay !!

One of the most friendliest, cleanest and beautiful places we’ve ever been on holiday. Everyone was amazing and made us feel so welcome like one of the family. Beautiful food and we will love to come back next year. With love Lauren and Antonio.

We have just come back from a week at the Klio Aparthotel. We stayed with our two children and some friends and overall had a lovely time. The staff were friendly and helpful - Eleni was very attentive, and Manos at the pool bar was always so chatty and friendly (he makes the best ice coffees, milkshakes and cocktails) and was always helpful. All inclusive overall was quite good - drinks and cocktails were great. The food, whilst tasty, was quite limited - there were only 6 dishes each day which is the least I’ve ever seen on an all inclusive holiday so unless you were willing to try the squid or unusual looking meat dishes in sauces, you’d be struggling. There was rarely anything suitable for the children to eat apart from plain pasta and chips - there was no snack bar, so never any food like chicken nuggets, burgers, pizza, hot dogs etc. The pool was much smaller than we anticipated so in busy times it fills up quite quickly, and I actually saw some of the residents using the net to clean it, as I don’t believe it is cleaned often enough. Neither is the toilet by the pool. Having said that, all other facilities were cleaned regularly and the room was refreshed daily. The room itself was ok - the aircon is only in the master bedroom, so we had to keep our bedroom door open all week for the kids to be able to sleep comfortably. Whilst we booked it thinking it would have a fully stocked kitchenette, unfortunately there was only a fridge, a sink, and 2 drinking glasses provided. In the least we were expecting a kettle, some mugs etc so we could make ourselves a morning drink, and maybe a toaster, but that was not the case. So given there were no facilities to make our own snacks, and no snacks on offer on all inclusive for the kids, we ended up eating out most evenings.

We have just come home from a week at the Klio. There is nothing you can fault about this place. The staff are amazing, all so friendly and can't do enough for you. The food was good every day with a varied menu, both bars were great and all inclusive drinks until 11pm. The rooms were cleaned everyday. And the pool was refreshing after a spell in the sun. Always remember you get what you pay for and to us it exceeded tha. We will go back again.

Crete is very beautiful island, it's worth to return back for holidays. But this hotel.. it's really 4 stars? Maximum - 2 stars. Food tasty, but every day same food, cats always walking near you and looking at you for food. When we entered to room, i thought, they joking... at travel company we paid 1300€ (2 persons) for all inclusive and we have got poor room. It's so hot inside, furnitures old.. our room was in bad location, because everyone can look at us and see what we doing, it's poor privacy. So, i recommend do not book this hotel, because you dissapoint. And i indeed with other reviews.

Fantastic staff, great amenities. Food is made fresh and with love. Maria, remie and Stella are a absolute asset to the hotel. Would definitely go again when the surrounding area has had a bit of development. Don't let that put you off the area, it's easy and quick to get to Herakleion.

Stayed at the klio hotel if that’s what you can can call a hotel, Stella the bar manager was a amazing and was also Lia on reception, all inclusive drinks was a joke we stayed in room 113 that needs badly updating, the room looks over wasteland and the balcony wood is rotten. The reception is only open between 08.00-15.00, the swimming pool is open between 10.00-18.00 and it was only cleaned twice why we were there and we stayed there for 12 nights. The sun lounges around the pool was broken and the days beds around the pool had disgusting stained mattress on them, breakfast was nearly the same every morning, the all inclusive drinks finish at 22.00 then you have to pay for them but we noticed the barman was giving free drinks to his friends and locals charge tourists stupid prices this hotel is only 2* but not a 4* needs a lot of work to make it a 4* the hotel across the road called Magda hotel is 4* would not recommend this hotel to anyone until they have updated it. The photos with ON The beach are very misleading and I have reported this to them.
