We have stopped by this place on and off for years, both the older and now the newer. And it only gets better. Last possible stop for gas on the famous Lolo Pass highway. Great place for daytrippers, motorcyclists and tourists. We have come on motorcycles many times. Nice place to have some coffee and relax, eat a great meal,... More

We've been coming here whenever we can for a romantic getaway over the past 20 years. The cabins are just right for the location and the new restaurant/bar/lounge lodge building is well done. The price is good, the food is good, the staff is friendly and the setting is unbeatable. Go there if you can and get a wood stove... More

I've been to the Lochsa Lodge several times, always in the winter, and have enjoyed every cabin I've stayed in, every meal I've eaten there, every beer I've sampled, every avalanche that closed Hwy 12 and kept me in the mountains an additional day, and every nearby hot springs soak. My last visit, on New Years Eve, coincided with an... More

The Lochsa Lodge provides an authentic Idaho experience – quality without pretension. The staff are very friendly but not don't expect them to carry your bags. The location is very scenic, but don't plan on shopping as an activity. The accommodations are very comfortable, but don't expect chocolates on your pillow. The cabins/rooms are like snowflakes – they are clean... More

The Lochsa Lodge is a marvelous get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It's located about 90 minutes from Missoula, MT and the drive up takes you along much of the route that the Lewis and Clark expedition traveled. The accommodations are very comfortable ranging from rustic cabins to more modern environs. The Lodge has a very... More

We spent one night and were very impressed with everything about it. Our room, one of four in a small building, was very nice - rustic looking but clean and modern. We had our own private porch where we could watch the deer feeding in the morning mist. No phone but there was a tv and dvd player if you... More

For most visitors, the strengths of the Lochsa Lodge situated nicely between Lowell ID and Missoula MT might include the fishing, its quiet, the rustic (but fully electric) cabins, the spacious main lodge, and its location just west of Lolo Pass. For a bicycle tourist, add to those a friendly welcome after a long climb. On two visits, one westbound... More

Stayed in rustic cabin that was quite spacious as it was the last rustic they had available. Very cozy & rustic, but it did have electricity! For people used to tent camping this was luxury. The staff were more than friendly & we ate most our meals at the main lodge. Food was pretty good, but not what I would... More

We were able to stay here over the Labor Day weekend on our motorcycle ride over Hwy.12 (Lolo Pass). We were impressed by the somewhat remote setting that offered such lovely surroundings. We stayed in one of their freestanding cabins. It was clean and comfortable and of high quality log construction. Although there were other folks nearby talking outside their... More

I have been visiting Lochsa Lodge annually since 1990. Missed one year due to Hurricane Ivan in Pensacola. and this year ; medical reasons. The Denton family & staff have made me and my wife and friends feel at home. We've stayed in most of the cabins and have found them clean and comfortable. The food has been great and... More
