We stayed here for 2 nights and were totally thrilled with our accommodation. The owners were lovely and friendly. The rooms were spotlessly clean and were lovely and sunny with heaps of space. The bed was super comfy and we both had a really great nights sleep. The free wifi was an absolute bonus. I walked into town and it... More

We stayed in the executive suite, this room is good value if there are a few of you as it has 1 separate bedroom and then 2 other beds in lounge(1 folds down from what looks like a cupboard). The room has a good equipped kitchenette and small outdoor area for the room as well. There is a spa bath... More

The executive unit is worth the extra money, because of the small private patio, good kitchen and the large spa bath. All rooms have plenty of space. Free internet a great plus for us as we were on a business trip. Owners very friendly and helpful. The only downside is that the shopping area is some distance away and requires... More

The family that runs this lodge is very nice and friendly. We were warmly greeted (by name) and they were very willing to help with directions and local information. We ate dinner at the place the recommended and enjoyed it. The room itself was a good deal for the price - clean and simple. We did use their laundry facilities... More

Very friendly welcome from the manager- had unit 1 which had a king size bed with very good linen/pillows, nice leather easy chairs and the unit was generally very well appointed. The wet room was spacious and the amenities of good quality - that's where some provincial motels really drop the ball. I did not use the kitchen facilities as... More

We stayed 2 nights and it was awesome. Price worth it. ...We were (spoilt) upgraded to a room with a Spa Bath and Separate Shower. Travelling NZ from Australia for a month the spa was a relaxing treat due to me having to do doing all the driving. . The "Mr Manager" was very friendly and welcoming, didn't deal with... More

We were a group of 21 motorcyclists in Whakatane for the weekend. Our hosts went out of their way to make sure we were happy, allowed us access to their kitchen, gear to wash bikes, etc. Good value for money, very clean, modern and user friendly. Arranged for a coach at short notice, and pointed us in the right direction... More

This Motel is located on the main road into Whakatane. Despite being so close to the main road, the rooms are quiet and are soaked in the afternoon sun. The Motel appears to be very new with all new facilities. Good comfortable beds and califont (endless) mains pressure hot water system making a great shower. The Host was very welcoming... More

A group of about 25 of us stayed here for two nights. The hosts were the most lovely, helpful people. Apart from giving us great tips on where to get coffee etc, they provided us with all the utensils, crockery etc that we needed to have a BBQ on one of the nights - fantastic. The motel itself is very... More

Really good value for money, we enjoyed the space offered by the one bedroom unit with large living area, big bathroom (huge spa bath) and outdoor eating area. Tucked away in the back corner, it was also quiet. Extras like the newspaper and free wifi which we hadn't got at our last, much more expensive accommodation, made all the difference.... More
