Sy and Abbey are very very nice people. On cold evenings they fire on the fire place in the living room. Sy took me out for sailing... More

This was one of the most interesting hostels I have been to. Run by a family it is a building out back built by their grandparents or something. The common area is great, nice large sofas, blankets, DVDs, good kitchen facilities and FREE TEA! I was with a friend and apart from the local old man we were the only... More

Beautiful hostel. Best bed, I slept in on the whole trip. A kitchen with all gadgets you could wish for. A patio covered in grape vines and individuality in the bathrooms. Very friendly owners who are really involved to make it a good place. Had a great day there, thanks!

I spent a night here by myself in the womens dorm. It is a cosy hostel with lots of character. Very comfortable bed and clean living quarters. Would defiantly go back again and recommend to others going to Coromandel town.

Our plan was to stay here one, maybe two days, but ended up staying for four nights! Beds are comfortable and the rooms are spacious and clean. The owners (mother and son) are really nice and welcoming, and happy to show us around, or grabbing a couple of beer at the pub on the corner. The common areas are inviting... More

I stayed here quite by chance and I could not be more thankful! The place has just been taken over by new management 11 days prior to my visit, but you wouldn't have guessed! The owner Sy really made everyone feel completely at home and nothing was too much bother. The beds were the most comfortable I have stayed in... More

I loved this place - Edy was friendly and accommodating, and it is so eclectically decorated. Had a lovely vibe to it and was very relaxed. Coromandel Town itself is a pretty place to tuck yourself away from it all for a few days, too.
