We'd had a hectic week flying balloons in Hamilton and just wanted two days respite from the world and we found heaven. These cottages are totally private in a stunning location. Extremely friendly owner who invited us in with professional friendliness Set in stunning gardens, relaxing to the sound of the tuis and the creek bubbling at the bottom of... More

5 years since we our last stay and nothing has changed, which is a good thing. Whilst a few kilomoters outside of Coromandel town you could think you were in a secluded tropical forest. The villas are well appointed and there was nothing lacking in our view, also great outside space along with hot tub if that floats your boat,... More

Nice setting, quiet and tranquil. All amenities you could wish for at hand. Very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Outlook over garden with the creek below. Enjoyed Visit by a family of ducks! Owner helpful and concerned for guests comfort - local power interruption and he was on site within minutes ensuring all was ok. Would recommend to others. Marie Clarke

Lovely peaceful spot in well designed high quality villa that opens onto tranquil gardens. David was very accomodating of our travel by bike. Thanks! Japanese wooden hot tub is a treat after pedalling around. Recommend breakfast at Driving Creek cafe.

Excellent self catering accommodation in a secluded area only a short walk to the Pottery and Driving Creek Railway and a short drive to town where there are restaurants etc.. Very well furnished and probably one of the best places to stay on the Coromandel. We would definitely stay there again.

We absolutely adored Driving Creek Villas! So handy to Coromandel Township and activities, and yet so very peaceful! We felt like we were in the middle of nowhere - a real retreat. The Kaipawa villa was awesome - so thoughtfully equipped and a beautiful building and grounds. It was so spacious and very comfortable. We loved the Japanese hot tub... More

This is1st class accommodation ! It has everything you need ! A perfectly crafted space, designed for ease of use and comfort. The bush setting is serine with manicured lawns and gardens. A small fresh water river bubbles along edge of the property ( worth a dip on hot day ) The chlorine free hot tub was a hit with... More

Everything was awesome. A sunny, peaceful, relaxing and cosy villa surrounded by native New Zealand bush. All the modern amenities you'd want away from home. The complementary bikes were handy too. We got to the Coromandel by ferry and the Dave, the manager/owner was able to pick us up from town. Highly recommended!

My daughters (20 & 18) & I stayed at Driving Creek Villas on a recent trip to NZ. It is at least as lovely as the photos - well appointed, clean and spacious. The gardens and creek behind are a beautiful backdrop. Coromandel Town is a short drive or bicycle ride away, with good food and wine available. We would... More

Frankly, a real great place. Cozy, very well arranged, large inside, large garden outside with large patio, not a noise. Good and fresh smelling bed linen. Just a few minutes from Coromandel A perfect place to stay in this area Very friendly owner and manager
