Anchor Lodge is located in Coromandel Town on the west coast of New Zealand’s Coromandel Peninsula and provides spa apartments and suites, and modern motel units. We are located only 400 metres from the town centre amongst native bush and overlooking Coromandel Harbour. Anchor Lodge is located 2.5 hours drive from Auckland International Airport, one hour from Hot Water Beach and within 3.5 hours from Rotorua.
Great location lovely views of the bay and only a short walk into the town for the bars, restaurants, and supermarket. Room was more basic than other lodges we’ve stayed at but reasonably sized and functional. Lovely pool area however hot tub was out of order. Good self service laundry facilities with covered drying area. Sue the owner was friendly and helpful. Would recommend this accommodation.

This place was very central to coromandel township. Set in bush, we stayed in the upper cabins amongst the birds singing. Less than 5min walk to town. Cabins were very tidy and clean. Bed and pillows super comfy. Sue and Cas were very helpful and pointed us in the right direction. Pool and spa helped us unwind at the end of the day.

We had an absolutley perfect stay, couldn't fault it if I tried. I noticed a lot of reviews about the beds being uncomfortable, this was not the case at all, we thought the bed was extremely comfortable. Room was very warm, very clean and plenty spacious. This is without a doubt the place to stay in Coromandel.

We loved our stay at the cabins at Anchor Lodge! Sue was extremely helpful and accommodating in allowing us to reschedule our trip 3 times due to the continuous crazy weather over the summer! The cabins are clean, it’s on a lovely quiet spot with tranquil views and the spa is a great spot to relax in the winter after a big dinner! Will definitely be back :)

A lovely place to stay. The Lodge has very comfortable rooms with everything we needed and the staff were very friendly and helpful. A short walk to eateries, the hotel and bottle shops in a cute old-timey village environment.

Fantastic large room in great motel, modern, clean and comfortable. We felt like we were in Roro with the beautiful well kept gardens. Heated pool and spa bath in room added to the experience. Very friendly accommodating hosts welcomed us and provided good local information.

Great place and very accommodating to our big group. We have a big group and only stay one night. Plenty of parking and cool little hide away. Walking distance to town so not far to go get a feed and the water is right there
