We were 8 friends. The guy at the reception said we had to pay the VAT (32000 Colombian pesos) because our reservation did not include breakfast (20000 pesos). I asked if we could change the type of reservation, but he said "the system" did not allow it. That makes no sense! Couldn't the hotel be more flexible?

Last night we stayed at Hotel Estelar Las Colinas in Manizales. We were six people and reserved two rooms on the phone the evening before we arrived. We were told the cost would be $280,000 COP for both rooms. We checked in and when we wnt to pay this morning they charged us $280,000 COP for each room. When I... More

I found a real deal for this hotel and I chose it. Upon arrival the attention was really good. Once in my room I really enjoyed it. The only thing is that I feel the hotel needs to modernize itself and change or improve the old furniture. I cannot complain since I did have a good night sleep and did... More

I spent three nights this past week at the Estelar Las Colinas for business. The lobby is decent for sitting around a land meeting up with colleagues. The rooms were just ok. They had a minibar and a tv, but no air conditioning. Opening a window at night for air isn't an option as the nightlife can be quite loud... More

Bad location right in the centre which at night is dark with nothing open and a sence of insecurity. Not a decent restaurant in sight, even worse after business hours. The restaurant in the hotel is ghastly overpriced and the stuffy damp smell is truly off putting. Breakfast is poor, especially in a chain that is supposed to be one... More

The hotel is made for business people. So you will see the location, the service, all. Including the price for the offered room. A bit expensive I would have to say. Manizales is not very touristic and in approximatelly 2 days max you could see all the city attractions.

Location is the only slight negative. It is located in central Manizales so at night many stores are closed and while the night life is interesting to watch, it does not give you the impression of being very safe. You will be approached by beggars multiple times regardless if you are inside a business. There is a strong and active... More

My husband and I decided to stay here for our first year anniversary. We live in Medellin and wanted to see the coffee region and stay in a nice hotel; we were very disappointed with our choice in hotel. We splurged on the superior room which was supposed to be the nicest room; which it was not. 1. Noise from... More

The hotel was as you would want & expect, but the service & helpfulness of the staff was exceptional. The staff at reception went out of their way to help us with our requirements, and ongoing travel arrangements. And the man who initially took our bags up to our room took the time to show us the room, give us... More

I stayed 3 days in this hotel and I think It 's a bargain. The room was great, clean and There was all that there is expected in a 4-star hotel in Europe. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was ok. The hotel is located in "historic" Manizales, but the true center (the one where there is... More
