The facilities are good in this overpriced hostel. The landlady has huge attitude problems. I tried to ask about a few locations and transport, sometimes she did not even answer! She had no interest or understanding on my level of Spanish, or to speak more slowly an in a more simple way. I kept being polite and she seemed mostly... More

We had a wonderful stay in Manizales and even got suggestions about what to visit (a map etc.). The owner explained us how to get around by bus, which was really easy. The only negative thing was the noise of the street through the window, but they will change the window soon amd even make more rooms upstairs. A good... More

The Hostel itself, especially the room was one of the most beautiful we ever had in south america. The owners are very friendly and helpful. But regardless the price was to hight for the room and the small breakfast for south america. But we can recommend it anyway as it is a nice place to relaxe. Zona Rosa is a... More

Completely ripped off by this place... Arrived with a booking and got stuck with a double room that was under construction... Smelled like paint/chemicals and workers were always present assuring heaps of noise. When I protested the room condition and price, the owner became aggressive and pushy. Room was dirty, bathroom was dirty and poorly maintained. Random people seemed to... More

I stayed here last summer and found it to be an unusual experience. I had a dorm room to myself which seemed clean and well looked after but the lady that run the hostel was rather stern. I didn't like having to wait for ages outside the front door for it to be opened, especially as a girl travelling alone... More

The big plus of this hostal is the family who runs it. Isabella and her team are always friendly and helpful. The hostal itself is charming, comfortable, clean and in a great location in Manizales. The breakfast is for a hostal as well very good. Negativ is the noise of the rooms which go to the street (for me personally... More

I stayed in a private room for one month while taking private Spanish lessions. I used the kitchen and saved a lot of money, while living two blocks from the heart of the Zona Rosa. aI thourghly enjoyed my stay, thanks to the facilities and staff. My room didn't have an outside window but it was clean, quiet and had... More

While the owner's son was helpful and friendly, that's about all that we found to be positive here. We slept in a dorm connected to the garage that smelled like exhaust and mildew. Even after leaving, anything that left my bag while we were there smelled like mildew. The bathrooms were constantly lacking toilet paper and soap. As a vegetarian,... More

There were too many things that went wrong during our 2 night stay here. Firstly, the positives: free wifi all over, relatively short walk to bars and restaurants, mattresses are quite comfortable. Negatives: rooms facing the street front are the noisiest I have ever encountered, earplugs are essential if you are a light sleeper as the traffic is right outside... More
