One of the prettiest places I have ever stayed in, and totally unfussy and unpretentious. We loved the family, the staff, and the family dog. We stayed 3 nights and really liked our room (#1), upstairs right off that porch with that breathtaking view. The property is beautiful, with several scenic sitting areas, nature paths and a natural pool. We... More

This is the place to be if you want to discover the coffee traditions of this beautiful country . In La Juanita you will find genuine people Rocio , Ricardo and their 3 kids , without forgetting the super nice maid/cook . You will wake up in this extremely rich region , and will have to ask Rocio to introduce... More

I spent 4 nights at La Juanita Ecohotel in February, 2014. I loved the natural setting just outside Manizales perching on a hill with beautiful mountain views. The cabins and rooms are simple yet comfortable. Most of all, the owners have put lots of thought and hard work into building this place...they are extremely humble, hospitable people and staff to... I just spent 4 amazing days at Ecohotel La Juanita and had a great time. You wake up every morning to a beautiful view of rolling green hills and are surrounding by gorgeous coffee farms with banana trees mixed in. You can see a great selection of birds from the balcony as well. The owners really extremely nice and breakfast... More

The view and the staff were so pleasant that I found it hard to leave! I kept extending my stay. The hot water worked fine in my room, and the breakfast nook has a stunning view. Im so glad I stayed here (just some 7 minutes from the Center of the city) and not in the urban heart of Manizales.... More

At first look, the Ecohotel seems isolated with no places to eat and seemingly far from the city. However, looks are deceiving. The owners and staff are very accommodating and provide for take out if requested and fast taxi service which is inexpensive to get to center of Manizales. The view from the hotel is so beautiful especially at sunset... More

Stayed there for 3 nights, awesome views from the balcony, nice breakfast, very authentic with rice crackers, room was a bit moist and therefore smelly, one day the water was not really hot, hotel is a bit far off but easily to reach with a taxi (cheap), very friendly and helpful owners.

Breathtaking views were the first thing we noticed when we arrived at La Juanita. The cozy, clean rooms were secondary. It was hard to drag ourselves away from the wrap around terrace, where we spent many any hour gazing off into the distance. An electrical storm across the valleys even treated us to a spectacular light show one evening. The... More

Had the most lovely time here. The views are spectacular, the rooms are spotless, the hosts were charming- the only thing is that it is probably about an hours walk into the city, so unless you walk each time or get a taxi the food is (except for a tasty breakfast) reliant on ordering in takeaways- to be fair, the... This hotel is somewhere between rustic and basic but its saving graces are the fabulous location and view, and the wonderful hosts. The room we had was very basic, with only an overhead light and no bedside tables of any sort, so difficult for things like reading at night, one of us unable to sleep, etc. The bed was extremely...
