A theme "everything barbecued" was advertised for Saturday, July 19th. Chicken, ribs, fish. We were a party of five, waited for 1 abd 1/2 hours for our meal. After the initial drink order we did not see a server, only rushing by, averting our eyes. No bread basket, no butter, nothing. Also no apology when finally, might I say, dainty... More

Upon a recommendation from a local vineyard, I decided to stay at the Windjammer Inn. It exceeded my expectations and I will definitely be back. I was greeted by name upon arrival and the the check was incredibly laid back, they made me feel right at home. The room was delightful, bright and airy with a lovely bathroom, robes and... More

Whilst visiting my family we took in a trip to Port Stanley and the Windjammer was recommended to us. We actually stayed a couple of nights there and had dinner too. If you are looking some some true good old fashion service and cooking then look no further than this place whilst in Port Stanley. It really is so nice... More

We went here to celebrate father's day and loved it. We knew it was going to be great when we got a bit turned around and lost - it's what we do - and Leslie stayed on the phone with me and talked us right into our parking spot! We were in carriage house 1 and it is a charming... More

Let's start withe the view. Sitting on our "private" coach house porch we enjoyed the view of our vehicle with a decrepit boarding house in the background. Note to owners, if you have guests booked maybe sweep the porch and clean of the furniture pillows, we moved them rather than sitting on them. About the bathroom, it has a highly... More

Your own private carriage house, with jacuzzi tub and fireplace very clean. The breakfast is fantastic home scones and preserves to start. We had all three meals of the day it was great, this is our second visit. Port Stanley has many shops, the beach and surrounding areas offer plenty of entertainment. This will be an annual stop for us!!!

We've go to the Windjammer about once a year, usually in the winter for a short 'get away'. We've always had a good stay, and this one was no exception. We were there for New Years Eve, and enjoyed a spectacular 4 course meal at the restaurant. The venison was particularly good. Service is personal and not rushed. And the... More

We didn't stay at the Inn but we had dinner... There were 10 of us for dinner. We had a private room and the service was great. Everyone enjoyed their meals and wine. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the wine and made a great recommendation. It is such an easy drive from London for dinner, and well worth it!!

If you looking for great accommodation and a weekend to just have some R&R to enjoy time switching off then this is the place to do it. Excellent service and welcoming staff. Charming bed rooms and a menu selection that would fit well in any 5***** restaurant. My personal favourite the Chocolate Flourless dessert that you wish would never end!!

My friend and I booked the Walton Room at the Windjammer for an overnight getaway. As mentioned by another reviewer, the room was very dated, overpriced, and extremely, unpleasantly hot! Granted, the weather in Ontario has been very unseasonably warm this summer, but it was unbearable. Once we saw the equally uninspiring bath down the hall, we decided to cut... More
