Came from North Carolina to do genealogy for a week. Toured West Pubnico and stopped for a bite to eat. This place came highly recommended by the Visitors Center in Yarmouth. It is well worth the drive/stop. The atmosphere is great, the service was prompt, the food was to die for. Would go back day in and out if I... More

The Red Cap is a simple motel. It is very clean and the staff are friendly. The surrounding area is stunningly picturesque and the food at the Red Cap Diniing room is second to none in the area for sure. We stayed two nights and will probably go back there again another year.

The Red Cap Motel is located on route 335 three miles south from route 103. As you approach the motel, there is a credit union on your right and you can begin to see the water on your left. The motel is right after the credit union. There are six units. The inside is much nicer than the outside. The... More

I had a nice experience at this motel. The room was very nice, spacious and extremely clean. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a small fridge, which was handy to store water. There were others staying at the motel, yet I could not hear them. Very nice to have the quiet. Also, there is a... More

We have recently stayed at the the Red Cap Motel, it was excellent to say the least, this is a lovely family run Motel and Restaurant, the rooms were standard but extremely clean and updated, they had a wonderful A/C unit and the bathrooms were very beyond clean. The floors are laminate which is a nice change for people with... More

Our supper at the restaurant was extremely tasty and perfectly prepared. My husband said the Creme Carmel was best he ever had!! Our room was comfortable and appeared to be freshly renovated. It happened to be their wheel chair accessible room with a roomy shower!! We will be back !

We stayed in Pubnico for two nights at the lovely Yesteryear B & B. We had two wonderful dinners at the Red Cap Restaurant, the best food we ate in a month. We could hardly believe the quality of our dinners in this relatively rural area. Wish we could go back tonight! The restaurant closes early, around 7 pm, so... More

The rooms were basic but very clean. I had a quiet and restful sleep. There are not many places to eat in West Pubnico, but the Red Cap Motel turned out to have a nice restaurant with tasty food. I would recommend the Red Cap for reasonably priced rooms and good food.

We loved this little restaurant,. We were on our way up the 103 when we needed to stop to feed our little girl. We saw the restaurant advertised in the Taste of Nova Scotia 2012 culinary adventure guide. We didn't stay at the hotel but the restaurant is well worth getting off the highway!
