We stayed in the house of friendship for just one night in July 2015 and it was wonderful ! The spot were the house is located is actually incredible. You have a nice view over the bay of fundy and you can hear the sea while you fall asleep. We received a very warm welcome and a five star service... More

The location is amazing -- it is as spectacular as the pictures on the website. The view at sunset, sitting on the deck, takes your breath away. Host is very friendly & helpful with recommendations for restaurants & tourist spots -- both in the immediate area & our continuing trip. Room and ensuite are good size & well appointed; breakfast... Awesome was our entry in the guest book. From the stupendous views from atop the 125 foot cliffs towards the Digby Arm and across the open ocean, to the sightings of eagles and hawks and other wildlife from the breakfast table, the memorable breakfast, the beautiful furnishings and touches in this purpose built home, the fascinating geology and comfortable first... We stayed one night...we should have stayed longer...One of the most beautiful settings..reminded me so much of the Big Sur. The hostess could not have been more gracious or genuinely sincere and welcoming. Our breakfast was lovely. This was truly the best lodging experience of our ten days in Nova Scotia. If you have the opportunity to be in this part... More

In early July 2012, my wife and I stayed at the A la Maison d'Amitie (House of Friendship) B & B located on the Acadian coast near Mavillette beach and Cape St. Mary's. Although we could stay only one night, the experience was so unique that we feel it deserves some description here on Trip Advisor. This B & B... More

We recently spent two nights at A la Maison d'Amitie and would highly recommend this B&B experience. The hosts were extremely warm and welcoming and made you feel like you were old friends from the minute you arrived. Their home is a beautiful oasis for travelers, the views of the cliffs and water very breathtaking and the breakfasts will leave... More

I booked this place for my wedding night. It was arranged that I would be coming in late, since it was my wedding night! However, after 1 am they called and told me I wasn't going to be allowed in because it was too late and they didn't want me to disturb the other guests! Then they charged my credit... More

To the disappointed bride... I am so sorry you were not able to come earlier on the day of your wedding as planned to take pictures as well as check in. If you had done so, then I would have been able to show you where your room was located in our home. Obviously, if you would have come as... More

My wife and I spent four nights with Carol and Bill. Their B&B is on a cliff at the tip of Cape St. Marys, overlooking St. Marys Bay in the Acadian region of Nova Scotia. From Yarmouth it's about a 30 minute ride if you're arriving on the CAT Ferry. We were greeted with hugs upon arrival and immediately made... More

A la Maison d'Amitie was a fantastic B&B experience -- probably the best accommodations we had on our two-week tour of Nova Scotia. The house had spectacular views of the cliffs and the water, and the hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming. They pampered us completely, and made a point of helping us find a comfortable spot to enjoy the... More
