we purchased our first week at Lochanhully 27 years ago. ( we now own 2 weeks ) We have only missed 2 years ( through illness ). Having read several bad reports , can we make it clear ............................................................. Lochanhully is NOT for everyone - if you are after hectic nightlife / shopping/5star accomodation etc , you will be disappointed.... More

We booked here at last minute for a 4 night break and found it great value for money. Lochanhully is a collection of lodges built around a trout lake with lots of wildlife, including red squirrels, and is lovely and peaceful. We stayed in lodge 32 which was a little dated and dark but it was well equipped including towels... More

The cabins need a bit of updating, but it's quite a reasonably priced place for what you get. Lots of wildlife for kids to get excited over. (Ducks and rabbits) swimming pool is fine but bar area never had much going on when we were there. (July) I was there to rest after op, so it did the job perfectly.we... More

When staying in a Carrbridge hotel last month, my wife and I asked the receptionist if there was a swimming pool nearby. Seemingly there is one in Aviemore however the recommendation was to drive a short distance to Lochanhully, where there is a pool and bar/restaurant. We did this and had a nice swim, in a very warm pool, followed... More

This is our third visit to Lochanhully in successive years and we thinks it's a great central base for hillwalking, winter sports, general sightseeing and enjoying some wonderful meals in some great hotels/restaurants. This year, we had Woodland Cottage No.6 which was very close to the Reception/Clubhouse complex and also had a great view from the conservatory over the loch.... More

Just home from this first class accommodation! Well equipped n warm n cosy! Daily visits from various birds and short walks with mallard ducks! Look out for red squirrels passing by as you relax in the conservatory! Long time since I saw a red squirrel! Children had a wonderful time and there is lots to do! Staff couldnt be more... More

This was our first time at Lochanhully and I couldnt fault it. We arrived with our 2 dogs and had a brilliant apartment with an enclosed front garden which made life easier. The quality of the complex overall couldnt be faulted. The staff were extremely helpful and always pleasant. We ate in the bar one night with friends and had... More

Just back from a short break at this place, I was a little concerned over some for the reviews posted here, however none of them are well founded. The lodges are well equipped and maintained. You pay for your electricity when you leave, which as the cabins are electrically heated is more if you are there in the winter. If... More

We were surprised that this resort was part of a chain.....it has all the charm and qualities of a family run business. The staff were lovely, the lodge was spotless, the beds were just the most comfy I have ever slept in and the kitchen (described as a "mini-kitchen) was better than the resort we stayed in the previous week... A surprise trip to Lochanhully, and what a lovely surprise! Stayed earlier this year and hoped to get back some day! The lodge was perfect - again. Cosy, clean and with every amenity. Us and our two kids fitted in it just great with our long weekend gear. The kids loved the visits from the ducks and the peacock, they... More
