Great lodges in a perfect location, short walk from Landmark so ideal if visiting with kids. Lodges are clean and well equipped. Grounds are kept lovely. Would visit again without hesitation. Very reasonably priced

A lovely place sat in the middle of peaceful grounds. We all enjoyed walks in the woods looking for wildlife. Rooms were large, comfortable and clean. Homemade cake in the rooms was a perfect touch. We were in Osprey and our friends were in a room on the ground floor which was like a self contained flat. Lyndsay and Alison... More

I come to Scotland every year with a walking group and Fairwinds Chalets are amongst the best chalets we've stayed in. They're in a lovely location in the hotel grounds, situated around a pond and surrounded by mature pine trees. There are red squirrels in the grounds, and owls can be heard in the evening. The chalets themselves are attractively... More

Nice warm welcome, shown menu on arrival and meal was cooked to perfection. Enjoyed the welcoming dram! We wound down after a busy day (and a lot of travelling) chatting to the other guests in the comfortable conservatory and when bed finally called we slept like logs! Again, breakfast was perfect and my wife particularly enjoyed the fresh fruit available.... More

Not our first visit to Fairwinds, and definitely not our last. Food to die for in a gorgeous location - so quite and peaceful. Our hosts Lindsay and Alison catered for our every need. A lovely touch is the honesty bar. Sublime!

It was nice to stay in the midst of a peaceful atmosphere with very spacious and comfortable rooms.Everything was clean and the owners were warm and attentive. They had decent variety for breakfast and dinner along with options to choose from. The setting was beautiful too with trees and red squirrels.Overall good value for money.

Set back from the road, Fairwinds Hotel provided just what we needed for our final stay of our much needed holiday. We arrived to find red squirrels on the feeder which delayed us leaving the car because our view was so good! Our room was exceptionally comfortable and the service and food at both dinner and breakfast was delicious and... More

We were after some peace and quiet and a little pampering and that is what we got thanks to the warm and attentive hospitality of the owners. The hotel is set back off the main street of the village and could be in the middle of nowhere in terms of tranquility and yet it is a couple of minutes walk... More

My husband and I stayed at Fairwinds for four nights at the beginning of September and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Everywhere was clean and comfortable and we had what appeared to be a super kingsize bed. On arrival we were told to help ourselves to a welcome drink set up in the bar area which was a decanter of... More

We were in the area for the Loch Ness Marathon. Many other hotels in the Inverness area had increased their prices for the weekend due to the high demand but not Fairwinds. Spotlessly clean, excellent customer service and local advice. Good parking, breakfast, bedroom facilities, shower, etc. etc. As a seasoned traveller including overseas this place at the very top...
