We stayed one night at the Fairwinds, a last minute booking as we were really just looking for a convenient stopover point to break a journey to a funeral in Inverness the next day. We got really lucky and found a hidden gem. Alison and Linsay are brilliant hosts and the whole place immediately had a great feel to us.... More

Arrived 2 days earlier than we had booked ( an error on our part) but we couldn't have been greeted and helped any better. Our room was available fortunately and was cleaned and made ready in quick time. Lovely room, well decorated with a view of the birds and squirrels in the garden and a good bathroom. A flat screen... Have been staying in this B&B for a number of holidays in the past and returned there again this year. A party of 6, 2 couples stayed in double bedrooms and another, accompanied by two border collies, stayed in one of their 6 chalets situated in the very peaceful surroundings of the hotel. The hotel is run by 2 ladies,... More

We booked the hotel for a weekend break on the basis of excellent Tripadvisor reviews and personal recommendation. We were not disappointed. Do not be deceived by the three-star Visit Scotland grading, this is a small hotel (only five rooms) but offers very high quality throughout and a very personal service from the owners, The food is of a high... We stayed at Fairwinds Hotel for Easter, a fantastic experience. The hosts, Lindsay and Allison, provide a genuine, warm welcome, with every need catered for. The rooms are comfy and well equipped, the location is charming and the food is absolutely amazing! Breakfast is magnificent, freshly prepared to order. Dinner is an experience. Every delicious course is beautifully cooked and... More

Great hotel, lovely hosts and a super location for visiting the Highlands and Aviemore district. A perfect day here starts with breakfast in the conservatory - watching the red squirrels eating theirs only 3 metres away. Then maybe a game of golf, a visit to a distillery or a walk (or a combination of 2 out of 3). Back for... More

We've stayed at the Fairwinds 3 times over the past 12 years now and each time has been a fantastic visit, without fail. The owners Alison and Lindsey are friendly and cannot do enough for you. They really add that finishing touch to your stay through making you feel like you're 'part of the family'. We've stayed in the chalets... More

I highly recommend the Fairwinds Hotel. For the last three years, a group of us travel from the U.S. to Carrbridge in October to participate in the World Porridge Making Championship--the so called "Golden Spurtle." We slept and had all of our breakfasts and dinners at the Fairwinds Hotel. It was so good, we wouldn't think of going elsewhere. Lindsay... More

We enjoyed three nights at the Fairwinds Hotel with Alison and Lindsay serving as gracious hosts. Our room was cozy and the food wonderful, but the hospitality was what will bring me back. Thank you for the sweet memories.
