This is in a good location for people wanting to avoid Aviemore. Quiet location, a short walk into Carrbridge itself and comfy beds. The best bit, though, is the well stocked honour bar in place and the games room. Highly recommended.

We had the Osprey room in front. It is a very large room with a king size bed. This is a elegant place and we felt pampered the whole time. The owners are fairly new and have lots of improvements in the planning phase. Peter and Jeanette are wonderful hosts! This is a quiet town, with some walking paths behind the... More

We just loved our stay here - the hotel has real character and such a homely, welcoming feel. During our visit to the Highlands we stayed in a variety of hotels, some of which were higher-end and without a doubt Fairwinds was our favourite. The owner was so friendly and gave us a tour of the hotel facilities in a... More

First if all be aware that Carrbridge is incredibly quiet and here's not much on! The hotel is very very peaceful and quiet. Friendly welcome from owner, room spotlessly clean and everything in the right place. Gol dinner at local pub. Slept well and enjoyed the honesty bar with a nightcap. Bed quite soft which we like and shower was... More

My wife and I took our grandson to Landmark Adventure Park and stayed in the Fairwind Hotel, we had a Single room with a lovely big bed and a Z bed for my grandson (It must have been comfortable as he slept like a log) Our room had a kitchen area provided, with bathroom, shower, bath, both just off the bedroom,... We stayed here on a family visit to the area, we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful location & surrounding area. We stayed in the Strathspey suite (I think) on the ground floor. There was ample room for the 3 of us (granny, mother & daughter), the room had a small kitchen area with a cooker & fridge which we... More

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay but very surprised that that you felt that there was a 'sting in the tail'. I have checked our records and you were clearly given the total price including the extra bed in the room when you enquired by email - the total of £287.50 as you state and you then booked.... More

Stayed four nights at this very welcoming hotel in a quiet location. The room was very spacious and the large double bed was really comfortable. We liked the daily bottles of water and home baked cakes in the room.

stayed here for one night and wished it could have been for longer! Fantastic location! our room was spacious and very comfortable. a nice touch was a complimentary scotch or sherry and a homemade tray bake in our room. Also in the bathroom were nice local shower gels and body lotion. Breakfast the best ever! Lots of cereals to choose... More

We stayed for one night while travelling through the area. We were made to feel very welcome and love the honesty system, even though we didn't use. Only a very short walk from town. A good standard and selection at breakfast. Only small issue was that room was a bit small

I agree with Henry F and Charles C and others. The new owners say they are not intending to compete with the restaurants nearby, by retaining what was there before. Wise I think as this is well catered for (so to speak) in Carrbridge and nearby Aviemore. Having said that the best part of the Guest house/Hotel? was the breakfast... More
