We booked a short 2 night visit simply to be close to and for the kids to enjoy the Landmark Forest Adventure Park. My mum and I and my two boys. Set off the road, the very short drive up left us a little concerned as you can see a few wee unfinished projects which make the place look a... More

My wife and I took our grandson to Landmark Adventure Park and stayed in the Fairwind Hotel, we had a Single room with a lovely big bed and a Z bed for my grandson (It must have been comfortable as he slept like a log) Our room had a kitchen area provided, with bathroom, shower, bath, both just off the bedroom,... Left disappointed with our stay at the chalets. The chalets are dated and desperately needing modernised and could have been cleaner. The whole place is looking run down from the old church to the pond area. On departing weren't even asked how the stay was. On the plus side nice quiet area with bit of TLC could be lovely.

The chalets do have have some dated features - we only took over a year ago and are steadily updating but this cannot be done all at once and not at all during high season as we are nearly 100% booked through to the last week of August. We would totally dispute that the 'place could have been cleaner' .... More

We stayed here on a family visit to the area, we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful location & surrounding area. We stayed in the Strathspey suite (I think) on the ground floor. There was ample room for the 3 of us (granny, mother & daughter), the room had a small kitchen area with a cooker & fridge which we... More

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay but very surprised that that you felt that there was a 'sting in the tail'. I have checked our records and you were clearly given the total price including the extra bed in the room when you enquired by email - the total of £287.50 as you state and you then booked.... More

Stayed four nights at this very welcoming hotel in a quiet location. The room was very spacious and the large double bed was really comfortable. We liked the daily bottles of water and home baked cakes in the room.

stayed here for one night and wished it could have been for longer! Fantastic location! our room was spacious and very comfortable. a nice touch was a complimentary scotch or sherry and a homemade tray bake in our room. Also in the bathroom were nice local shower gels and body lotion. Breakfast the best ever! Lots of cereals to choose... More

We stayed for one night while travelling through the area. We were made to feel very welcome and love the honesty system, even though we didn't use. Only a very short walk from town. A good standard and selection at breakfast. Only small issue was that room was a bit small

I agree with Henry F and Charles C and others. The new owners say they are not intending to compete with the restaurants nearby, by retaining what was there before. Wise I think as this is well catered for (so to speak) in Carrbridge and nearby Aviemore. Having said that the best part of the Guest house/Hotel? was the breakfast... More

We stayed two nights. Room was comfortable and quiet. The hotel is set way back from the road that goes through town and backs on a wooded area with walking trails. The place feels a bit "dated" (think 1950s or 60s) but worked for us.

We stayed two nights in August. The new owners had been in about a month and made us very welcome. Complimentary Scotch on arrival a v pleasant touch. Good breakfast and a very spacious comfortable room. Didn't use the honesty bar but it was a nice touch, along with the complimentary cake every day. Lovely setting, quiet with local walks... More
