Mellon Patch is simply the very bestest accommodation ever. The house is immaculate, warm and welcoming with fresh flowers awating you in your room on arrival. Jane is the loveliest person and a perfect hostess. She will cook you a brilliant breakfast every morning and she will make sure you've had your share and a full tummy before letting you... More

We stayed here for just one night on our way north. It is a beautiful house on the outskirts of Carrbridge and a very welcoming landlady. Our room was the twin one with an immaculate separate bathroom across the hall. Breakfast was fresh fruit followed by a cooked Scottish breakfast and toast and preserves. Excellent price for this spotlessly clean... More

Single night for a single traveller. A warm welcome, large clean room, comfortable bed, WIFI, a 3 course breakfast (with as much filter coffee as you can drink) and fine woodland views. Birdsong - and a mixture of birds and red squirrels on the feeders. An ideal base for anybody fishing on the nearby River Spey or the upper Findhorn.... More

I work in a very busy job, 55 hour weeks are regular and it doesn't stop when I get home. 4 years ago I was booked into this beautiful B&B with friends and I love it; April 2014 is my forth visit. Jane is so welcoming, accommodating and the perfect hostess, all the stresses and worries built up throughout the... More

This is without doubt the best B & B in existence, have stayed here many times. The rooms are beautiful, beds are comfy, showers are amazing. The location is quiet, picturesque and near to local amenities. And as for the host Jane, she's the best, friendly, helpful, kind and caring, like your favourite Auntie.

A group of 5 of us (which fully booked the B&B) were cycling from Lands End to John O' Groats. We arrived to a beautifully clean house, with a truly warm welcome from Jane. She was accommodating and helpful. She stored our bikes in her garage with no fuss at all, showed us to our luxurious rooms. We were given... More

Truly a gem. Jane is a superb host. We stayed one night on two separate occasions during a recent visit to Scotland. Planned first stay in the twin-bedded room with private bath across the hall, second stay, because of having to adjust our itinerary due to weather delays, in the yellow room, king bed with ensuite. Both rooms were perfect--spotless,... More

I've just returned from a three day break in Carrbridge, there for a family event nearby. The Mellonpatch was recommended to me by family and I'm so pleased it was. Jane couldn't do enough for me, her breakfasts are lovely and she runs a very welcoming and spotless B & B. I'd absolutely recommend the Mellonpatch, for it's host, facilities... More

Rooms are large and absolutely spotless. I wish I could clean like that! Beautiful property on the river and right across the road from excellent walking trails. So quiet. A few minutes walk into "town". Breakfast was amazing, and Jane was a superb host. Perfect home away from home.

We stayed there for a couple of nights when we in Scotland for our honeymoon in the fall of 2011. I'm pretty sure we had the "green room". The breakfasts were great and the view from the dining room was lovely with birds and squirels entertaining us. Robert Bateman pictures from the states were in multiple places. A nice country...
